    Recipes from England

    Hello,

My name is Joanie. I have a 15 year old son who will be visiting England, Ireland, and Wales with a Peolpe to People group this summer.

Before each trip the ambassadors are required to do a project on a subject of interest to each of them to help them learn more about the countries they will be visiting. My son picked "Foods of England". Might any of you have some old recipes from England that were/are popular, and possibly what might be of interest to the citizens of England now.

Do you still have teas in the afternoon? What might be served at a tea today? Have the fast food restaurants changed the lifestyle of England?

    Thank you for your responses.

I don't know of any recipes but I do beleive they have their afternoon tea.  My friend going up, her parents are english and everytime I went over to their house, about 4:30 they would have their tea!!!!!  There is a little community here of english folk.  It's great to see them all together!!!!!!  Funny people!!!!!  I know my friends mother would fix fish and chips alot but that's all I can tell you!!!!!!  Good Luck!
