    Re: Recipe Swap

Our hostess for the Monthly recipe swap is kaly_ab, I'll e-mail her.

its 5 fammily recipes and 5 blank recipe cards. they can be hand written or typed up (there is a few websites that make it easy) and you put in a little letter about your self and you will have either 2 or 3 partners to get from and send to. You post the states you mail to and your thank yous on the appropriate threads when its time.  (check out the july threads to see what I mean).

    Re: Recipe Swap

Here is all the information and you can let me know.

Thank you for your interest in the Recipe Swap!

The Recipe Swap is a monthly swap where we have either 2 or 3 partners and we share recipes by (snail) mail. It is great fun and an excellent way of getting to know some of the people on the Taste of Home board.

Some ladies buy recipe cards and other make them on the computer. At the end of this email I will include a list of Recipe Card making web sites.

Now I will post the rules so you can get a feel for the swap.

    1) You will send to each partner, 5 recipes (they can be hand written, typed, printed from the computer, etc.)

    (2) You will send to each partner, 5 BLANK recipe cards (they can be any size, and either blank or printed). [For those of you who do not use the blank recipe cards, you can always pass them along to future swap partners as your 5 blank cards, so please don't feel that you don't want to participate because you don't need blank recipe cards.]

    (3) All of your mailings must be done on or before the 15th of the current month . That way, it will give the USPS at least 2 full weeks to deliver the packages to your partners.

    (4) I will post a "sent" thread if you want to post the day that you send so your partner will have an idea of when to expect their recipes. This used to be fun since before we only posted the state it was being sent to and we didn't know our partner's names. But, now it will work to guesstimate arrival.

    (5) I will post a "received" thread where you can thank you partner and let them know they arrived, since they will be anxiously awaiting confirmation that you received them. It only takes a minute to say thank you to your partner and it means a great deal to them to know you received your recipes, so please remember to thank your partners. I can not "force" anyone to post on the mailed/received threads, this is an option, not a requirement.

    (6) Lastly, I understand that life happens and if for some reason you can't send or you know you will be late in sending for an unexplained reason, PLEASE LET ME KNOW ASAP.

That is about it! We also ask that you do not post the Recipes you receive in the swap on the Taste of Home board as some of the ladies send out the same recipes every month. I keep track of who you mail to and let you know what you have gone through the list incase you want to change your recipes.

If you would like to sign up and be included in Julys Swap you can email me your information.

I need your BB name, your real name and your mailng address. I also need to know if you would like 2 or 3 partners.

Thank you for your interst in the Recipe Swap! It is a lot of fun!
