I think I have been away for so long that you all have forgot that I even exist.

Delores I think you will have a great week at Waterhen. I have not had any of the family talk about smoke problems up there and they have been coming and going for the past month. The fishing is super up there. My DB claims he knows just where to go. We will see. Sometimes seems the fish just move on when we get there. We may be heading up there today as well, but will only stay for a day or two, The greenhouse is still needing too much attention. The tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers won't water themselves and since this is the first year that I am growing my vegetables in there I have to keep a close eye on things. It is starting to cloud up here a bit. We sure could use a good rain. It is dry dry dry!!!

I best be packing the food so ttyl

It's nice to hear from you.  Haven't heard from you for a long time.  Dolores and I wondered where you've been hiding.

Good morning all. Well, the computer is still working so that's a good sign.

It's going to be a beautiful day here. It's 20° now, beautiful blue sky and heading to 27° this afternoon. Perfect temperature.

There's a flower show at Guisachan Heritage Park & Gardens today. It's about a 10-15 minute walk from our condo so we'll walk over there later this morning and stop to "smell the roses" and look at all the other beautiful flowers there.  Wish I knew how to post pictures here so I could show you some of the nice flowers.

Have my second load of wash on. So when that load is dry, we'll head out for our walk.

Well, the football games last night didn't turn out for us. Winnipeg lost and so did BC.

Just another light supper tonight. Perogies and some cucumbers and sour cream.

Think on Wednesday, we'll head over to the Farmers Market and I'll see if I can get some veggies to make some Borscht. I want to freeze some for the winter. I just make veggie beet borscht (no meat). Then later if we want some meat in the soup, I just cook some pork chops, chop them up and then add them to the thawed soup and heat up. I like to go to the Market on Wednesday rather than Saturday as it's not so busy with people. This year they also started a Farmers Market downtown on Thursdays from 4-8 PM. Haven't checked that one out yet.

Charlene, thanks for the info on the camping. I'll check out some on the internet. I remember that you mentioned Roberts Roost before. So now it's just a matter of convincing DH that "it won't be that expensive to drive up to the Quesnel area. We have a conversion van - not cheap on gas. DH said the other day, the needle was still on full and he decided to top it up - $20.00 later!

Must go, time to put my clothes in the dryer.

Oh, Claire, sorry about the dog. Know what that feels like.

    Anne, hope you're resting.

I have been hiding in my back yard. I start my greenhouse up in February and from that time on my focus us keeping my head above water. Notime to chat. My greenhouse is too small to hire much help and almost too big for just one person. My coffee buddies come over and chat and help, while I plant. DH is building a garage this year so among the plants are the remanents of our old garage. We are waiting for the machines to move in and remove the olde cement and then it will be on to bigger and better. And DH will take his tools out of my basement (less dust from the woodworking he does down there) yeh!!! I have decided that I need to convert more of my flower gardens into perennial beds. Less spring work for me. Then I will cover the open spaces with wood chips.   My house is in dire need of some tlc. It gets ignored totally during the season as well.

I have taken a bit of time to read the last two days chats and seems like everyone is living a busy life these days, exept for Char. Buggy rides and the great west. sounds like fun. Oh well I guess you are back at home and busy as ever with those three darlings of yours.

Crea it is good to see that you are still the top of the morning list for us. Hope that balcony gets done fast. Mmmm Muffins. Smells good.

Sharon and Delores it is good to see you still active on the bb.

I need to get finished packing for the lake our friends should be by soon. I hope.

Sending everyone a cool (()) Have a good one

Home again and my foot is up.  It lasted not too badly up until the last 1/2 hour of the market.  We basically sold out.  That's a good thing but it means I start all over grinding flour and such early next week.  No rest.

We could have sold 10 times as many new potatoes as we took.  Next year, DH says  we'll swamp the market.

I need to go find an ice bag for this technicolour toe.  My runners did a wonderful job of cushioning it this morning.

    Take care,         Pat

Hi all, well we are home from the city, hopefully I will have the majority of the things we will need.

It is so good to see you back here Georgine. Did you read awhile back that we are planning a get together in Saskatoon on Aug 9th?  Sure hope you will be able to join us. Sharon and I are going to get together after I come home and get the plans all made.

I can well believe that you would run out of new potatoes, Pat. Some of my friends out here go into the market in Regina every Wed and Sat. and they could sell ten times what they are able to take. I am going to pull a few hills to take north with us.

Better go and get more packing done. BBL    Dolores

Hi everyone.  I had a former co-worker email me today saying she was craving my corn salad and could I email her the recipe.  I new I had posted it on here.  I haven't been on here in ages and thought I would pop in and say hi.
