Oh dear, Barb, I need to mop myself into a couple of rooms in this house!    Goal for next week is get the kitchen and living rooms windows done and a coat of wax on the hardwood floors.  Not my favorite jobs.  Right up there on the list with ironing!

The cushion covers for my sofa are done, so I can pick them up tomorrow.  Maybe I will burn the ugly brown jersey sheet I have had stretched over the holy covers.

Welcome back Shirley!!!   I hope you are taking it easy at home.  Let the other continue to pamper you as long as you can get it!

Ari and his friend wanted to go the cabin today, so we went out.  I cut the grass.  That was my exercise for the day.    It was a hot and sweaty job.   The boys grilled some chicken for lunch.

Phone is ringing, so I have to go!   lusi

Happy Sunday everyone.  Dang, it's hot here...98º now.  Yesteday was 102º.  This heat just saps my energy.  I was too tired to get up for church today.  I don't even want to take the old newspapers to the garage.  The garage is some cooler...but with this heat, it's still above 90 but it doesn's seem as hot as it was.

I guess I'm going to have to break down and call a repairman.  The icemaker has stopped making ice...probably the water line is stopped up, the washing machine still dances a bit and makes too much noise during the spin cycle and the freezer still has the alarm coming on even though everything inside is still frozen....maybe it's a malfunction of the alarm system.  I am REALLY tired of things not working right.

I am not having a productive day.  And I don't even care.  I've read the paper, and have the dishwasher going.  I might do a load of laundry...maybe not.  I do need to pay a couple of bills and balance the bank book....then I will do nothing but eat dinner.  I'm having boiled shrimp and a big salad along with garlic toast.  Watermelon for dessert.

Barb, sounds like you are going to be busy for the next couple of weeks.  What fun!  I love family reunions.  Seems like our last few have been connected with funerals.  Enjoy your sister's visit.

Maureen, hope your DH has found the answer to the floor leveling.  I am so aware on unlevel floors...I roll without effort or intention!  I sure wish you were here to work in my yard...I think it needs a woman's touch...like dead heading etc...things the yard man either doesn't see or ignores!

Lusi, you have your work cut out for you this week.  You'll be really busy.  I'll bet the house will look like a different place when you get through and get the new cushion covers in place.

Viny, better rest up today...back to the old grind tomorrow...IF you haven't acted too much like a kid and got yourself all out of kilter!  Better start training now for the next year's race.

Jo Ann...I'm envious of your rain...if any fell here now, it would evaporate before it hit the ground.

PatA...I looked at that wicker website and called for a dealer close by.  They sent me a phone number so I'll try to reach them one day this next week...along with all my other doings.  So you've never flown in a large plane?  Ever??

NursePat...I know you must be lurking!  I'll bet it's hot down your way too!

Shirley...glad to see you were able to get on the computer again.  Be sure to prop that leg up while you're surfing.  We need pics of the new paint!

Marti, still lifting you and Joe up in prayer.  I guess this week you'll finish all the requested testings.  Praying for good results and that Joe will be feeling better soon.  I know the heat has a lot to do with it.  I just don't hardly get out unless I have to.

Jo Lynn must be spoiling Trenton by now.  I know she'll have a good visit.  Hope the fires stay away from her home.

OK...guess I'd better try to accomplish something!

Thanks for all the birthday wishes.  It was a good day.  And the CFS (chicken fried steak) was yummy!

All right...Verna busted me..I have been lurking..just nothing much to report so haven't posted.

The heat here is brutal...up in the 90s even as late as 8 and 9 pm some nights.  Was really having respiratory/asthma/bronchial problems on Friday.  Got one of the docs to get me an inhaler which I started using right away.  Has helped a lot.

Younger son called from the ER late this morning...my first thought was an "on the job injury/incident" for him, but it was his wife ---she had a kidney stone!  I called them a few hours later and they were home. Doc said she either passed it or was about to.  She's on pain meds and is resting.  I was checking flight info in case I needed to fly out there but he said that wasn't necessary.

Work has been tolerable at best.  I keep tellling myself "Pat be glad you have a job!"

Y'all take care.  Pat  Big Smile

Just stopping in quickly to let you know what is going on.   Joe is in the hospital.  He has continued to feel worse each day and when he was getting ready for church this morning the defribrilator began firing, enough to put in on the bed.  When we reached the hospital, I learned it has fired the morning SM had passed and he didn't tell me.  His heart rate was over 200 when we reached the hospital,  His doctor has stopped 4 medications for the upcoming test and one of these medications helped the atrial defribrilation,  anyway, they stabalized his vital signs and will do a procedure in the morning and I hope all the other test that was planned this week.  He has felt so bad for so many weeks and I just knew something was going on.

Shirley, I scanned the post today and was so glad to see you home and felt up to posting,  I've missed you and hope you continue to improve.

Thanks for all the cards and well wishes with the passing of Joyce.  we appreciate all your love and kindness.

I'll check in as I can in the coming day.

    Marti
