Well now Crea aren't you just the early bird?

    Good morning.

Hopefully, we'll be putting out the last batch of bees later this morning and that chore will be finished for another season.  It hurts to know that all these little creatures will be finished(fly their wings off) by the Sept. long weekend.

    So sorry to read that you've been having family  unhappiness  Laura.  I missed your usually cheery posts the past while.  {{{{Laura}}}}

Cathy, glad to hear you lost that cast.  Build your strength gradually.

Katie, you are indeed fortunate to find the dream dress so early in the hunt.  How often can it be said first trip, and first store?  Wow.  Good for you.  Hope everything else falls into place as easily.

Yooper a tatoo and a Harley and the crown too?  my goodness.  Enjoy.

Viola how many more training shifts?  will you work short shifts independently to start?  or do you move directly from training to full length shifts?  Glad to hear you will soon have home access soon.

Guess I've gabbed long enough.  I surely did miss checking our corner.  I feel connected again.

Hope both birthday girls celebrated well.       Pat

    Good Morning Dear friends,

WOW Crea very early when you posted, did you have trouble sleeping?   Are the windows boarded up yet? If so I bet that is the problem with your sleep.

Humidity will return for the rest of the week, not happy about it.

Happy to see Char made it to Cookie's?  Better sit and relax today after such a long drive, the kids will be excited to see all the animals. It's amazing how big this country is, such a beautiful country of ours and the US as well. It's natural beauty.

Cathy are you getting around ok without the cast? It must be nice to shower again. I know all the time I had the tunes I couldn't shower only took baths.

    Have to have my coffee.

    Good morning again,

Glad to hear that Char and her entourage made if safe and sound.  Wow, they are going to have a fun vacation.

I'm limping a bit without the cast, but dr said that I would be for a month to a month and a half.  I have no movement in the toe, except for a bit in the tip of th toe.  But that's because of the plate the dr put in.  So, I have to work at being able to move the tip of the toe.  Feel's really odd.  When we went to bed last night, dh said "I'll try not to kick your toe in the night.  If I do, I'm sorry".

This morning, my niece is coming over again for a bit.  She's staying at her dad and Nanna and Pappa's for the week.  Mom has a dr's appointment, so I figured she would have more fun here than sitting at the dr's office with her Pappa.  Maybe I'll put her to work doing housework *lol*

It's supposed to be humid here again today.  The temp is supposed to be in the mid 20's, but humidity in the 30's.  We got a wild rain storm last night.  It only lasted for about 20 minutes, but I don't think it could have rained any harder.  Dh was picking peas when it came up. He stayed out and picked anyways.

Well, off to get a shower before Jordyn (my niece) gets here.

    Have a great day.

    Cathy

Good morning ladies! Hey...who changed my font? WT???

There's a big day ahead. DH is facilitating a workshop at the library this afternoon. I've gotta get laundry done and get packed. Supposed to take the car to get it washed and cleaned up--so that the bugs can make a mess of it again when we're on the road.

Glad Char and kids made it all in one piece! Did anybody alert the authorities that those two are going to be together? Omigosh...it might get interesting in that direction. Keep your ears pointed at the TV news, just in case:)

It was warm and pleasant yesterday, had a thunderstorm last night, now it's as dark as the inside of a cow's belly out there and more rain expected. Of course! We're having the car washed today.

Gotta get a wiggle on. I'll try to check in later in case there are updates in Char's direction! If I don't get a chance to post again today or in the morning, I'll check in tomorrow night when we stop. In the meantime, y'all behave!

Cathy...I forgot--did your foot look all funky and shrunken when you got the cast off? It happened to me years ago when I had a cast on my arm. I sure was surprised when I saw it because nobody warned me. Hope your foot will be right as rain again soon.

Pat - good to see you back with us again - missed your post early in the morning.

YF-Yepthe stupid humid stuff is coming back - just when I don't need it - balcony getting boarded up and the wedding on Sat.

I have got all the flowers moved - just need to take BBQ and some other stuff to another home and take carpet and kitty fence up. I hate to do it till the last minute but the people go camping on the weekend so I will have to gage it day by day. Tomorrow nite a friend is coming to take the A/C out.  I am not a happy camper.

Cathy - bet it feels good to have that cast off - fresh pea's luck you. Have a nice day with your niece. Bet she will want to help Auntie Cathy.

Viola B - Happy birthday - hope you have a good day. I have posted a separate thread but thinking maybe because of the time on the puter you may not get to see it.

Had a delightful chat with Ada yesterday - it was so nice to chat with her - she is one sweetheart.

    Everyone have a nice day.

Good morning everyone! Looks like a sunny day here today! I hope Char and Claire and their kids have a wonderful time together.  It would be a blast I'm sure!  4 more sleeps then I'm on vacation! I leave for Ottawa on the 24th for my niece's wedding. She was my flowergirl at mine 20 years ago! I'm sure that the excitement is getting more intense now!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Crea, we aren't leaving until tomorrow morning. Early. Very, very early:)

Ponderosapolly, tell you what will help to get your BP down and help you to lose the 20 lbs that your doctor wants you to shed, and that's walking. This time last year, we had finally got up to walking a mile a day, and it exhausted me! We tried to walk a little further each day so that by the end of the summer we were up to a mile and a half.

This year, we're walking at least two miles and often more. A time or two we've walked as much as four miles+ and all in one stretch. The BP came down, a shed a couple of pounds even though I didn't need to, the cholesterol came down, and DH's "pre-diabetic" condition disappeared.

I highly recommend walking if it's something that you can do!

    Good morning,

Beautiful day today. We have the hot & humid again too. Maybe I can go to the swing & read. We got all the mowing done yesterday so unless I pull some beets, there's nothing to do in the garden. Seems like it just stopped. I really had to hunt to give my friend anything when we went into town yesterday. Such weird weather. The year DD & I want to try pickles, we can't get enough to do it. LOL

Vi Happy birthday. Hope you have a very good one.

Crea, I'll share my swing with you but you won't be a happy camper.

I need to go back & read. I didn't see where Char made it to Cookies.

YF, I'll write sometime I promise. LOL

Yooper, have a good trip. If you go through Lexington, be sure nt to sleep as you pass the horse farms. It is so beautiful up there. Their fields look better than our yards. I would love to just drive al around & look, maybe stop & see some of the race horses.

Waiting to hear from Ada about her big day yesteray. That is one busy lady.

The bees are all out.  Heading home, we stopped to watch a 2 year old bull moose prance down the road and off into the field.  We finally saw what's been leaving some of the big tracks.  He was certainly in good shape.

Guess with that job done its time to move along my jobbie list.  More mowing to do, and there's always weeding in the garden.  There will be pails of peas to pick Thursday evening.  DH says hes going to pull the entire garden potato patch this week for market and then we'll have to move into the field potatoes.

Lots to do while the sun is shining and the temperatures are reasonable.

Will peek in later to check on those young'uns.  That will be some vacation--so many stories to tell

Crea Hey you were up by the time I was getting to bed. lol . Glad to here that you have found a place for all your balcony stuff. You will sure miss a/c

Pat do you have to buy new bees each year? I take it they are not honey bees but just used as pollinators

Kathy it won't take long for you to get use to that toe, dd had pins put in two of hers and she was back to her usuall self in no time, mind you she was 18 at the time and nothing slows an 18 year old down.

Yooper looks like you have a long trip ahead of you also, have a safe one.

Meesh you have it cool there too I see. It has warmed up to 9 here. Sheeeesh it feels more like a fall morning. I have my tulips planted also. Hope everyone else goes to plant theirs soon

finished my housework late last night. Now off to pack a bag and get my quilting stuff together and then to the city. Dh said we are getting an early start he wants to get in some shopping. Well if that doesn't beat all. In the 33 years that I have known him I do not believe I have ever heard him say he wants to get some shopping in (tool shopping doesn't count)

Have a good couple of days, not sure if I will have the time to check in for a while. Hugs to all.
