I made this yesterday. It was really good!

~*~Slow Cooked Apple Pie~*~

8 granny smith apples, cored , peeled & sliced(I used mixed apples)

1- ¼ tsp. cinnamon (I used 1tsp.)

¼ tsp. each allspice & nutmeg

1 ½ c. biscuit baking mix, divided

¾ c. milk 2TBSP. butter, softened

¾ c. sugar

2eggs,beaten

2tsp. vanilla

1/3 c. brown sugar, packed

3TBSP.butter, chilled

Toss apples slices with spices in large bowl; place in a greased slow cooker. Combine ½ c. baking mix, milk, butter ,sugar ,eggs & vanilla; mix & spoon over apples. Combine remaining baking mix with brown sugar; cut in cold butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over apple mixture. Cover & cook on low setting for 6 to 7 hours, until apples are tender. Makes 6 servings. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream .

Hi mypie2,

This recipe sounds delish. I think that I will try it this weekend. By the way, my name is Kathy. I am relatively new to the group.
