OT- Has Anyone Purchased the Heat Surge Roll and Go Electric Fireplace ??

I was just curious . There are Lots of ads regarding this "Fireplace" and I saw a TV  Commercial last night. Someone must have one?-   Alliea

They are advertised so much here that I have wondered about them also. Is it all just hype or do they really work. I wonder about the expense and the safety of plugging them into a regular outlet.

 I was wary of these ads.I Just found some interesting reviews here. What a Huge difference in opinion.

Sure became a "Heated" Debate for some.

The "free Fireplace" sounds suspicious .

 IMHO it would be better to just advertise a good product but that is JMO as "Free" raises a red flag to me.

I do love the look of a fireplace and I  have seen a number of Faux fireplaces on some decorating shows.

I was tempted to order one of those, but then I found something similar at Lowe's.  It's a pretty piece of furniture, the cabinet is cherry and it was on sale for $199, which compared to the other seemed pretty reasonable.  I just put it in yesterday & tried it out this morning.  It heated, & I mean heated, the room in 1/2 an hour.  Turned it off after that.  I love it & the flame looks very real.  It's a nice alternative to a fireplace or woodburning stove.  Hopefully, it won't cost too much in electricity.  We'll see.  It was called an electric stove & found with the seasonal stuff.  I looked for it on line at Lowe's.com.

Gm  Alliea, I bought one 2 years ago also from Lowes for Mr's office.  Also from Lowes.  It gives the room such a warm feeling and yes it does heat up the room very quickly, but mine has several controls at the bottom.  You can turn off the heat while the logs remain flickering. 

I picked out a more traditional one but now days there are so many styles and sizes   Even ones for corners `  The mantel makes a perfect spot for pictures or bookends ~  I can't tell you how much more professional and warm his office looks ~  and my big girls   lay in front of it as though it were real !~

The heat can be controlled as well.  Home Depo  sells them too  `  Check around `  One  will add such beauty to any room `  ~   If I could  I'd have one shipped here, as I really love the warmness it gives ~  Janie  ~

This is just a wild guess but less than,  2 ft Wx 4 feet W and maybe  5 feet high??   Mine is more of a mahagony (sp?)  color  ~ 

I love my electric fireplace. I purchased it about 2 months ago. It is the one you were inquiring about. It heats up my living room very well. I have a very drafty house due to it being older. I don't have to have my thermostat turned up as far to keep my living space warm. I looked on the websites for Lowes and Home Depot and the price would be about the same if I had it shipped to me.

Just my opinion. But I really like my heater.
