    Recipe Software

Can anyone either point me in the direction, or e-mail me any recipe Software programs??

Although this is not totally necessary, it would be a nice feature.  I'm looking for something with which I'd be able to print out onto 4x6 index cards or maybe even select sized paper to make my own recipe book.

I'd also like to be able to include pictures with the recipes which I enter into the program.

Please let me know what you all recommend, it is greatly appreciated.

This is a list of sites you can get and make recipe cards at. Some sites do offer you a subscription. Not exactly what you asked for but it is a start.

This site is really good! I know there are BB members who are regualr subscribers to this site.

    http://alenkasprintables.com/recipe_cards.shtml

Now click on Recipe Card Maker

NOw pick your size. For short recipes they will fit the 3x5 and larger ones should go on the 4x6

Now you select the design to go on the cards, they can be different.

And now you type out the recipe. Be sure to go do to the preview button and check on how the card is looking. You made need to adjust things to get it all to fit. I usually use the default type, fits the card well!

Do not forget to save and print!!!!

Now the second way is to have blank recipe cards already stored in your computer. You can download all sorts from the list of card sites.

Now what I do is copy and paste the card into the paint program that is in the computer.

Then I can click on the text button and open up squares on the recipe card where the print will go.

Then I just save and print.

A lot of it is trial and error! I am NOT a computer whiz by any stretch of the imagination!!!!

I hope your day is going well!

Thank you so much for all of the information and the welcome.

I do have to apologize though, I do not have internet access at my home.  I currently can only access the internet at my work.  I am however able to check my e-mail and download from certain sites though.

    Thanks again

Keep the posts coming!!  Any help would be appreciated.

    Cowgirl,

Have you tried the program you posted about with Vista?  I have mastercook and love it but I need something for DH's laptop and it's Vista and I have tried everything but cannot get mastercook to work.

Thanks cowgirl, it appears to be similiar to what I want in a program.  Does anyone else have an opinion on this program or any others that they use??

Since I can only access the internet very briefly at my work, I really need other peoples input being that I am unable to sit and do research on my own time.

Dreyfuss, have you tried following the steps suggested here: http://mc6help.tripod.com/mastercook_and_vista.htm

We recently purchased a new computer with Vista.  The young man who transferred our data from our old computer to the new one followed the steps they suggested, and Mastercook is working!  I have only found a couple of things that it is unable to do -- such as print a recipe!  In order to do that, I have to copy the recipe, paste it into a Word document, and THEN print.

Taste and see that the LORD is good!

Thanks for the site LLuAnn.  I did a google search when I was trying to fix it the first go round.  I'll check out the site you just gave me and see if I can figure it out.
