Well, I did it - - - - - I managed to catch the 'crud' that is going around here.

Had 101 fever yesterday - but feeling better today - - - the doctor has me on Antibiotics again - - - - better eat that yogart?huh?   :)

The weather is warm today - but suppose to be in the 20's tomorrow sometime - - - weird weather - extreme.

Wow - JEN - - - not even being able to get out the door - I wouldn't know how to act.  My DH worked for UPS for many years - - - he was in management - so didn't have to drive the trucks, but Christmas was always a nightmare.

DUSTA - so glad you and Lulu made it back to TX.  :)

I'm not getting all of the cookies made that I wanted to since I ended up getting 'icky' - - - but that probably isn't such a bad thing.
Thank You ALL for all of the really good recipe's I'm getting in the Christmas Cards.  Will be trying them all.  :)

MURIL - your picture is so cute!  Thanks!

Well, I'm going to spray the keyboard down with Lysol and get away from the computer - - - -everyone have a great weekend.

Dusta, yum, bet that cake is so yummy. Eeek on the teens- hope it doesn't get that cold here. We had some low 70s yesterday and it is cold again today-42 right now. Well, I shouldn't complain though, it isn't in the teens yet! :) Have fun baking!

OH MY (((Debi))), I was hoping you would not get that bug that has been going around. :( Yuck. Drink plenty of honey tea and take care of you. Just snuggle up and take your meds to keep you temp down and get well! Orders from headquarters! :)

There is something going around at church and a lot of people are getting hoarse- think it is sinus related beacuse of our cold then mild temps. :( One lady feels like she may not be able to sing tomorrow and I am practicing in case I need to fill in for her. She has a solo/duet with her brother. I hope she can sing because I feel like I can relax more and enjoy the program if I just have the regular choir singing and the one solo dance/song that I do- I feel comfortable doing it because I have been practicing it for weeks now. It puts a little more on my plate so hope she can do it tomorrow. I have the same voice range though so if I have to, I will.. I guess. :)

Waving to all weekenders! Stay warm!

    Hello Everyone

Been really on a tight schedule trying to get everything done that needs doing.  The tree is NOT up yet.  But I have started my candy making, just not doing as much this year.  Still don't have a present for our son or hubby's folks.

Thought I would update you on Jolene,  they are STILL without power.  She was really hoping they would have it by yesterday, but no such luck, plus they got at least 12" of snow with the last storm and are expecting that much more today with this new one.  She said she guessed they would have a white Chirstmas.

Better run,  I've got a lot to do.

    Happy Sunday Healthy Ones!

Well, I can relax and enjoy Christmas now- the Christmas program went so well! I ended up subbing for another singer (she didn't even feel well enough to come- her voice was worse today)but miraculously it turned out good- I had practiced yesterday with the soundtrack many times, and then had time to go over it this morning as well- it was a duet with her brother. My solo that had the dancing part was so much fun! I ended up being relaxed during it and really enjoyed it- was thinking I would be nervous but wasn't! Yeah! It was a fun song. :) Now, it's time to relax and concentrate on Christmas.

Debi, keep drinking that honey tea and I would maybe kick it up a notch with a hot toddy. lol :) Well...I would. :) Are you feeling better today? Hope so!

Debbie, We do have the tree decorated but...we aren't finished shopping yet either. Thanks so much for updating us on Jolene.

Jolene, hope you get power soon and I would say you will have a very White Christmas! :) We miss you! Stay warm. Sending Christmas hugs to you! :)

Off to relax and have a lazy Sunday. I think I will call Mom and chat awhile and then get an afternoon nap. :)

    Have a relaxing Sunday!

I am running late today. My OLD house is cold! We use to have a wood burning stove and the chimney is not safe now so no wood hear and it gets cold with just the gas stoves. I have on long johns, jeans and a sweat shirt, earlier I had on a hoodie too.

Debbie tell Jolene hi and hope she gets power soon. Are they at her parents? Seems I remember she said they had a generator.

I am still looking for the cookie recipe with the crushed potato chips. It may have been on the other computer that bit the dust.

Stay warn and have a good Sunday.

DH found the potato chip recipe and I added it with the others. I don't remember the butterscotch pieces, but have not made it in several years. You know this weight thing.

Another headache today so I'm hiding in the basement away from the bright outdoor light.  DM has started "White Christmas".  Wishing others electricity, warmth, health, and holiday spirit to accomplish just what's necessary.
