Excellent Brunch Sandwiches-- A must try!

I made these last night for bingo (I'm the cook).   Everyone raved at how good they were. I served them with creamy pineapple coleslaw.    I made them at home first,  and I was sure they would be a hit.   I will be making these quite often.
I don't remember who posted this, but thanks for a great recipe!  I also made the rolls and they were delicious.

    Yummy Brunch Sandwiches

NOTE: After initial prep, the sandwiches need to be refrigerated for at least four hours (longer if necessary) before baking.

    12 King's Hawaiian Dinner Rolls

1/2 lb. deli ham, sliced thin

    1/2 lb. swiss cheese, sliced

    1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce

    1 Tablespoon Mustard

    1 Tablespoon poppy seeds

    1/2 cup butter

    2 Tablespoons brown sugar

Split rolls. Cut ham and cheese into pieces so that it fits in the rolls. Divide ham and cheese and place on bottom half of rolls. Put tops back on rolls. Arrange filled rolls in a 9 x 13 baking dish. (I used an 8 1/2 by 11 inch baking dish.) Combine remaining ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Mix well and pour over rolls. Refrigerate four hours or more. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until cheese melts and rolls are crusty. These can be served warm or at room temperature. Great as left overs, too.

These sound really good. Why do they need to be refridgerated for at least 4 hours before baking?

They are not raw rolls.  I just followed the recipe.   I found them in the bread aisle, next to the dinner rolls.

The brand I purchased was Aunt Millie's, which are larger than King's Hawaiian rolls.

Those look delicious! Is the sauce really enough to cover all?

I have a burger recipe that uses those small King's Hawaiian rolls, it is super yummy. I noticed at the store that they have King's Hawaiian buns (regular size) for burgers and lunch size sandwiches. I've always wanted to make a French toast casserole or bread pudding with the rolls, just haven't made the time. I love the slight sweetness the rolls have.

Thanks for posting. I'll try them the next time my in-laws are visiting. It looks like something we'd all like.

King's Hawaiian is the Brand of rolls. It has a mildly sweet taste are are absolutely delicious. We love them with fresh butter at our Easter and Christmas dinners.

You usually find them right in front of the deli case, although my Walmart has them there and in the bread aisle. Just ask a clerk if you can't find the, They come in a white cardboard tray and you warm them in that. The outer packaging is an orange plastic bread wrapper style wrap.

I first got this recipe from a friend, Bingoqueen, and every time I take them to a potluck or family gathering there are none left.  We enjoy them for several days (kept in the fridge) when I make them for just us.  This recipe is a hit every single time!

I suspect they need to be refrigerated before baking so the cheese doesn't over melt.

Probably so the sauce can soak in, too. Will add the ingredients to my grocery list.

Thanks for sharing the recipe!  I have several Christmas pot lucks to go to every year, and I'm always on the lookout for something to take that will transport easily and is NOT a dessert.  We always seem to get gobs of desserts but not much "dinner" food!  These sandwiches just might fit the bill.

I'm doing an hors d'oeuvre buffet for Easter dinner -- these would surely be a good choice!
