As you know, in Simple & Delicious magazine we publish side dish recipes to help round out the 30 minute menus. As I'm planning the January/February 2010 issue, I'm finding that I'm in need of quick side dishes to round out menus. Do you have any quick side dishes or even quick entree recipes you'd like to share with me?
Here are a few of my personal favorites to get the ball rolling
:
I like 1 lb. baby carrots and 1/4 lb. fresh broccoli steamed then drizzled with a about 1 to 2 T. melted butter sprinkled with 1 tsp. Italian seasoning and about 1/2 tsp. lemon-pepper seasoning and 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. salt.
I, also, like fresh or frozen 1 lb. cut green beans cooked in the microwave w/ 2 T. water until crisp-tender and drained. Then tossed with 1/3 cup apricot preserves, 1 T. butter and 1/4 tsp. salt.
With either of these recipes feel free to adjust any ingredient to fit your family.
