    Learning the board

I am starting to figure out how to write notes and answer notes here-

Right now, I am summer busy. My dear hubby passed away last summer

so this is the first spring where I had to do everything. I did not realize how

much work there is outside to do.

I know that I am going to enjoy being here but may not be able to

chat a lot until winter- one thing about Alberta is that we do not have

    to wait long for snow--LOL

Hi Meme.  Welcome to our family.  Come regularly and soon you'll think of us as family.  Please don't give up too soon -- it is hard getting to know who is who -- but well worth the effort.  Ask questions when you mix up people or forget who is who.  The ladies here are loving and kind.  You'll love to be a part of this.

Very sorry on the loss of your beloved husband.  That has to be tough.  I'm sure I have no idea how tough.  Hugs

    Aleida

Hi Meme!  I'm Char, apparently Ive been introduced already! Surprise  Just want to give you a warm welcome.  I'm from central BC.  Let me tell you what can  happen on this board.  We become great friends here, with complete strangers!  Just last summer, I packed up my three young kids, kidnapped my best friend, and drove all the way to Calgary area to meet one of the ladies from this board!  We met here, chatted and had fun, made lots of phone calls, and ended up going to visit her for several days!  And if things turn out, I'll be doing it again this August!  My DH thinks I've lost a few marbles, by having these "imaginary" friends.  But that's what happens on this board, we become fast friends!

Stop in and say hi when starting your day!

yes- I am sorting everyone out-- it takes me a while at my extended age-LOL.

Char- you will drive right past me if you take the right way (wink) but if you

go through Banff - then you will miss me.

I have met one friend that I found on the net- and her husband and her and me and papa hubby all became good friends. I still visit back and forth. They were a blessing to me when papa hubby was dying- I set up a palliative care in my living room so he could be home and he was here for 4 months before he had to go into the palliative in the hospital where he died. We made some good memories- .

I still tend to tell papa hubby stories as I am not used to being a widow.

There are books about being a good wife- good mother - good woman but must nothing to prepare one to be a good widow.

I manage pretty well and I am learning to do all the things he did- well, not quite all...as I do not have the brute strength--LOL

I don't drive so that a hard part for me but I have a vision impairment which keeps me off the road. I can see well for other things .

Must go and it is way past bed time here in Alberta- and soon for B.C. too.

    huggles me, Meme
