Good Day ALL!!!
What a glorious summer morning! And it sure is appreciated, after that miserable humidity and thunderstorms. Migraine City for me through this set of storms. And yesterday, what a HOOT. At the internet cafe, the fire alarm somewhere in the mall was going off, so I had to get off the computer and out the door. I just headed home at that point. Well, after I had a quick look at what JohnVince had...trying to get rid of their bedding plants, they had basil for a dollar a box of 4. Of all my balcony plants, the basil are the saddest, the expensive stevia seeds didn't even germinate, and the 4 O'Clocks eventually gave me a few plants. I'm looking forward to seeing what they look like, as they're still in the leaf stage. Anyway, I bought 2 boxes of basil in hopes that at least 2 plants out of the 12 I have, will do SOMETHING other than sit there and look pitiful.
I stopped on the way home from work, grabbed a coffee and got a computer at the library, when it's quiet, but I bet it won't be for long!
I came across what looks like a credit card fraud and a scam at work last night, and told the assistant manager the minute that she walked in the store. I hope she follows up on it quickly. I suspect that there's a stolen credit card involved, and $500! There was nothing I could do at the time the customer made his purchases.
Ah, I do hope my daughter did get my birthday wishes to her. If not, well, it wasn't for lack of trying.
I received an email from the parents of the little student of mine who died this past February, of the flu. They sent a picture of the headstone that had finally been ...is it called, installed? What is so very special about it is that her older sister designed the decorated parts of the headstone, herself. I am MOST impressed and have sent her an email saying so. I taught both girls, the older one, while the younger was barely out of diapers. Oh, these memories do linger on.
Now, I think I'd better head off home to get some sleep. Have a wonderful day, everyone!
