Aleida, are you still weeding, you must have a huge garden/flower beds.

Dolores, budgies are so colourful how nice of you to adopt them, do you still have the bunny?

Who are the kids that graduated yesterday?

I agree Anice, everyone has a passport in Europe it has always been that way.

Char, Fawcett was in the original Charlie's Angels, she was in a movie called The Burning Bed, she was an abusive wife and did an excellent job acting.I like MJ in the 80's he did an great job singing /dancing, but later he went strange.

    Char enjoy your camping weekend.

Lori what a brave girl, bringing the bees home, I know we sure need the bees, and if we leave them alone they won't bother us.

Vi a happy birthday to your DD, nice to see you dropping by.

Eija enjoy your weekend in the 5th wheel, getting away is nice and does the body good.

Meme , sound you have a thoughtful DGD, taking care of her papa meant the world to her.

Good Morning to YF and Aleida and all who follow here today! It's shaping up to be a lovely day!

It's great to have a few days "off". While I would love to veg out, there's so many things calling me at home that have been neglected. But I must continue to pace myself. Next week will be a crazy one for me again.

We finally got some showers yesterday, which should do wonders for the garden.

I'm off to find some coffee, and get a load of laundry going.......JP

Good morning everyone. Windy and cool this morning and of course still no rain.

Happy birthday to your DD, YF.  Lots of birthdays in June.

The grad was  very nice last night. It was my twin grandkids who were graduating out of grade 8, heading to high school in the fall in the next town as we just have a school here that goes to Grade 8. Keisha will be in grade 5 , that is scary!!!!!!  There were 11 grads, 9 boys and 2 girls. We had a lovely supper first and then a couple of presentations that all the kids and teachers had put together. Lots of tears shed but they were happy ones!!!!!

The budgies are a happy bunch, chatter, chatter.  Yes I still have the bunny,Patches  she is outside in a huge pen that we had built for our other rabbit years ago. She loves being outside and of course has lots of company as lots of kids around town come to visit her almost every day. I also have the cat  Duchess who is a totallly indoor cat. She is getting older tho so lives a pretty lazy life. LOL

This morning we are going to clean the booths at the sports grounds getting ready for July 1st. The twins go to camp on Mon so they will miss the festivites this year.  The church group has a booth there and we sell cold plates, sandwiches, pies,  potato salad and baked beans and of course beverages. Always is very busy as we do strictly homemade pies and some people buy way more than one piece. I made 3 rhubarb pies yesterday and 4 fruit pies( rhubarb, raspberry and saskatoon) for the booth.

Better get moving or I won't get anything done.   Hope the campers have fun, it was very cold up in Grande Prarie  last night when I was talking to our DD, she even had her wood stove going.

    Good Day ALL!!! Music

What a glorious summer morning! And it sure is appreciated, after that miserable humidity and thunderstorms. Migraine City for me through this set of storms. And yesterday, what a HOOT. At the internet cafe, the fire alarm somewhere in the mall was going off, so I had to get off the computer and out the door. I just headed home at that point. Well, after I had a quick look at what JohnVince had...trying to get rid of their bedding plants, they had basil for a dollar a box of 4. Of all my balcony plants, the basil are the saddest, the expensive stevia seeds didn't even germinate, and the 4 O'Clocks eventually gave me a few plants. I'm looking forward to seeing what they look like, as they're still in the leaf stage. Anyway, I bought 2 boxes of basil in hopes that at least 2 plants out of the 12 I have, will do SOMETHING other than sit there and look pitiful.

I stopped on the way home from work, grabbed a coffee and got a computer at the library, when it's quiet, but I bet it won't be for long!

I came across what looks like a credit card fraud and a scam at work last night, and told the assistant manager the minute that she walked in the store. I hope she follows up on it quickly. I suspect that there's a stolen credit card involved, and $500! There was nothing I could do at the time the customer made his purchases.

Ah, I do hope my daughter did get my birthday wishes to her. If not, well, it wasn't for lack of trying.

I received an email from the parents of the little student of mine who died this past February, of the flu. They sent a picture of the headstone that had finally been ...is it called, installed? What is so very special about it is that her older sister designed the decorated parts of the headstone, herself. I am MOST impressed and have sent her an email saying so. I taught both girls, the older one, while the younger was barely out of diapers. Oh, these memories do linger on.

Now, I think I'd better head off home to get some sleep. Have a wonderful day, everyone!
