    USDA Expands Beef Recall

The USDA is expanding the beef recall as 23 people report being sick.

Bacteria in bad meat has made 23 people sick in 9 states.  That's according to The Centers for Disease Control.

12 victims have been taken to the hospital; 2 have had kidney failure.

The USDA is expanding the recall of JBS Swift Beef Company to include 380,000 pounds of beef that may contain E.Coli.

The beef products were made on April 21st and distributed to Kroger and Costco stores in the U.S. and Canada.

I was poking around the news website looking for info on our Senate standoff & came across this, I didn't even know there WAS a beef recall!  I knew Michael Jacksons will had been read though, LOL.

Does this mean I shouldn't get hamburger today?

I'm not really found of hamburger to start with, like you never know what is IN it, or if it's bad or not (according to stories like this). But, in a way, it's sort of a staple to make meals from. I've got so I don't like it plain, but if it's in something (disguised) I can not think about it.

I'm sitting here now thinking what can I put on the list to get to make meals from, something affordable, easy, different?

And so much of this revolves around meat of some kind (and not even the affordable part)

I think I'm bored with food, but it's something I still have to deal with.

You are certainly not alone, I've been so un-inspired lately it's crazy.  I need to start browsing my cookbooks & find some inspiration.

Thanks for reminding me.  I bought my hamburger in June, so I guess we're okay.

Pheww!!  I was going to splurge and get a pack of T-bones at Costco on Tues., but they were cut too thick!  I'm glad I didn't!

    Thanks for the info!
