Nebraska attracts a lot of out of state people. It's a nice place to live and raise a family. I've lived in NE, CO, MO, IL, IN. I spell it barbecue. To have barbecue requires slow cooking or smoking with charcoal or wood. No fire lighter fluid please! What a way to ruin a cut of meat. The best barbecue I've eaten is at Gates & Son's in Kansas City, KS. Your grocery store might carry some of their sauces. I call cooking burgers, brats, hot dogs, etc...cooking on the grill. Veggies are good cooked on the grill too. Get one of those grill toppers for the veggies. Stores might be reducing prices on outdoor merchandise. If you want the veggies to be tender-crisp cut the slices thicker. If you like mush (lol) slice them thinner.

barbecue
an outdoor meal, usually a form of social entertainment, at which meats, fish, or fowl, along with vegetables, are roasted over a wood or charcoal fire. The term also denotes the grill or stone-lined pit for cooking such a meal, or the food itself, particularly the strips of meat. The word "barbecue" came into English via the Spanish, who adopted the term from the Arawak Indians of the Caribbean, to whom the barbacoa was a grating of green wood upon which strips of meat were placed to cook or to dry over a slow fire.
