Anyone else think that North Korea isn't too terribly worried about what the United Nations says about it?!

Since when have UN sanctions been of any use - at any time?  In fact - since when has the UN been of any use at all?

Never, Limey, never.  I've been advocate of getting out of the U.N. for a while.  It's a ridiculous waste of money.

Don't know if the sign is still there but for about 20 yrs some business man had put up a huge bilboard along the ineterstate halfway betwwen Olympia/WA and Centralia (20 mi south).

    All it said on there:

Get us out of the United Nations.

    Yes

A UN seal of approval on a ginned up war adds the appearance of legitimacy.

I agree with that Grelo - and get the bloody useless UN out of New York.  Somewhere in  Africa would be a good place for them!

Just the b-child of the old League of Nations formed after "The Great War."  I agree- pretty much worthless, unless the buddies of the "errant child" can get them to stop the BS. For NK, that means China and Albania.  The current crap in Honduras is another prime example- not only for the UN, but for the OAS and other so-called "mutual interest" alliances in the western hemisphere.

    But what do I know?
