Kitchen Knife Opinions

Hi, I'm a newbie also and I would like to put my 2 cents in also if you don't mind. I am also a fan of the Rada cutlery. Rada has a great selection and they are so inexpensive. I have several of the paring, tomato slicer, and some of the smaller knives. But be careful, they are really sharp.

To me, you just can't have enough good sharp knives, especially if you do a lot of canning during the summer months. Peeling veggies can be such a chore and it really helps by having extra sharp knives instead of having to stop and sharpen the one your using.

 I agree that you cannot have enough good, sharp knives!

My roommate bought a pink knife from Target. I'm not sure what brand it is but it cuts like a PRO! I love it. I want to get more. Sorry I don't know the brand to share with y'all though. 

Another vote for Cutco.  They are on the expensive side but well worth it. I have had mine for 16 years and I still love them as much as I did the day I got them.  I am now a knife-snob. I hate going to someone's house and having to use theirs dull knives.

 My favorite knife is a Global. It's the best and certainly the sharpest knife I have ever owned.

My son's buddy in Iraq was a chef and when my son asked him for a gift suggestion for me he said a Global. Best gift I ever received. Now my husband and I take turns using it since most of the time we are in the kitchen together. We might just have to invest in another one!
