Best sellers for the Holiday Craft Bazaar 2009

Hello fellow crafters! I'm sure many of you are getting ready for your towns Holiday craft Bazaar - so am I! This is my first year - I have been making really cute girls hairbows and I'm thinking about adding some fun holiday Crafts to the bazaar booth. Does anyone have any good ideas for the best sellers at their holiday Booths? this is my first year and I'd like some tips on how to make it a success! Thanks.

Seems like the less expensive items go fastest.  Our church has a craft fair (I'm always in the kitchen serving lunch) but a scrap booker/paper crafter had huge paper clips topped w/a design - I think she used a large paper punch for various shapes & then embellished them, glued them on top of the paper clips, back to back, so both sides were decorated & charged a dollar for them.  Not sure where she got the big paper clips...seems like it would cost me more to make the book marks but they had pumpkins, snowflakes, etc.  Holiday-themed pins seemed like a best seller as well as ornaments.  Someone had made gift bags for sale....either regular paper sacks or the plain white 'shopping' bags (I've seen them at Michael's & Goodwill shops)...stamped, painted, stenciled, etc.  Also, the jars of cookie, quick bread, pancake, muffin, soup mixes with decorated tops seem to be popular too.  Good luck!

Hi,  I am doing a fair Saturdaythe 10th.  This is probably my fifth year.  I sell knitted items.  Baby sweaters, children sweaters mittens and hats.  Also have carriage robes to go with the sweater sets.  The first I did ok.  Last year was my best year ever.  I do 2 fairs a year.  This one in October and then a 2 day one in November.  Good Luck

MaryLou4, I agree, the lower priced items seem to sell first. I look for unusal items that I can copy/make myself, :-). Decorated T-shirts and sweat shirts seems to sell well, if there not priced to high.  Considering peoples incomes today, I would say usefull practal items would sell faster. I was just at the Thornville Ohio Country fair and the items that seemed to sell fastest were food and clothing instead of decorations. Lots of luck, Granna2
