Trying to find a cast iron pan, PLEASE HELP!!

I have and love my cast iron pans they are the best  Smile My Mother in Law keeps threatening to steal one of my pans so I promised to get her one for Christmas thinking it would be no big deal. Boy, was I wrong!!! I am looking for a square cast iron pan without the grill lines in it. I found square ones but she does not want the raised grill lines in it. Mine is just a smooth bottom pan and that is want she wants but I can not find one anywhere!!! I even went to the Queen of Cast Iron Paula Deen and her's are the same thing, she does have one that has a smoooth bottom but it is very shallow. I hope someone can help me.

Lodge has a 10 1/2 inch preseasoned square skillet available on their website for $27.95.   I've seen it in the camping section at WalMart for cheaper.  There is also a 5 inch skillet available, but it has shallow sides.   Here's a link to the large one:

I don't trust anyone who needs a recipe to make tossed salad.

Cabela's has a good selection of cast iron, both Lodge & their own brand, and good prices in my opinion.  Not sure where you are but last time we were in Sevierville TN they had a Lodge outlet store with great prices--and more cast iron than you could ever imagine!

I just wanted to say thank you, thank you for your help, I appreciate you sending me the link also because I had checked a while back on Lodge's website and came up empty handed so they must have been out of stock but I got it now!! Big Smile so my mother in law will be very happy and so will I for not having to hear about taking mine, because do not mess with my cast iron. Right :)

    Glad you found it.

A little late for this, but I was going to add that often Lodge sells the square pan as part of their "Festival" package.  I've got a couple of their square skillets and you and your MIL are right--they're wonderful to use.

I've never been to the lodge outlet in Sevierville, but have been to the great one at their factory in So. Pittsburg.  Heartily recommend a stop there, if you're anywhere near the area.  Great prices--for both first and second quality.  I've bought a number of their 'seconds' at dirt cheap prices.  And really, what does it matter if there's a little 'nubbin' on the outside or the edge isn't quite even?  Cast iron will last several lifetimes, even with slight imperfections.
