    Saving celery

If you have celery with damaged outer stalks, simply use a vegetable peeler to remove the bad spots. It works great and you don't waste your celery.

Wrap your celery in aluminum foil, and it keeps longer.

the leafy parts of celery can be dried and crushed and used later. I use crushed celery leaves in or on lots of stuff. I use lots of stalks of celery at holiday time and the leaves often wer getting just thrown away so I started saveing them and they dry easily crush them put them in a jar marked as you want .I haven't had to buy celery leaves to decorate a dish since.  I use crushed celery instead of dried paarsley or mixed together juat as tasty.Kathy

I find that the best thing to save celery is to cut off the bottom part so that you only have the stacks and then you place them in a glass of water. Store it on the counter top or in the fridge and it usually last weeks longer than if I don't.
