pumpkin pie spice - cheap source for large quantities?

I am looking for cheaper pumpkin pie spice, maybe a 2-4 oz. plastic container (about 4" tall, maybe).

All I can find in the grocery store is the short, squat plastic cans of Tone's pumpkin pie spice for nearly $2.

In the past, I remember buying the tall plastic containers for $1-2.  I looked at Dollar Tree and found nothing.  WalMart's holiday baking area, nothing.

Any other ideas?  Thanks!  I use a lot, for pumpkin pies, pumpkin bars, eggnog and hot chocolate, French toast and pancakes, etc.

    Try this instead-

    4 teaspoons cinnamon

    2 teaspoons ground ginger

    1 teaspoons ground clove

    1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Taste just like the stuff you buy in the store.  Hope that helps.

I buy all of my spices and dried herbs from a nearby Amish store that sells a lot of bulk dry goods.  They are always fresh and really inexpensive.  Not sure where you are, but if you have any Amish nearby I'd check it out!

    the Amish - great idea

There is an Amish store and a more remote Amish "country" store (with live chickens in the parking area and a fascinating bridal registry!) within 25 miles of me.  Next time I travel that way, I'll be looking for pumpkin pie spice.  Thank you so much for the idea!

Thanks, jan....good tip ! And, diane, don't you love Aldi ??  Our stores are VERY, VERY NEW, CLEAN and NEAT.  Was there yesterday and they're getting their holiday candy in.......chocolate/orange individually wrapped after dinner mints....like After Eight's.  YUMMO !  The also had the mint ones.
