Mary – I'm glad you bought the placemats.  Good for you for being so positive about the exercising.

I did my walk.  It had rained overnight, but it had stopped by the time I went out.
I'm waiting for the carpet cleaners to come.  They called and said they are on the way.  After they leave, I'll probably go to the grocery store.  Oh, what an exciting life I lead.

    Good morning, everyone.

Gee, MARY, you could have had coffee with Russell. He's been getting up at 5 the last few mornings. Guess he's getting anxious for another bow hunting week with his brothers. I am always so glad they get along so well. I know you will get to exercise----you keep it up, too.

JOYCE, at least the carpet cleaners come when they say they will. Our roads are wet and I guess some flakes fell, but probably was mostly rain.

Will help with church quilting this morning, then will head to the food store after that. Hey, JOYCE, how's that for exciting?

DORIS, I have been reading the posts. Didn't mean to neglect you. Only turkey eaten here are roasts or simmered turkey drumsticks. Family not too fond of the ground turkey. When I serve tacos, they are the loaded kind. I adjust for myself.

MARGE, haven't answered you for a couple of days, either. But, I read how busy you are. I always feel sorry for you when you have to drive so far for help for the car, etc.

CAROL, lovely landscape you posted. Looking at that could be as relaxing as a seashore cottage. Poor little Lucas----it seems they always bump their faces when they fall.  What a joyful Thanksgiving you will have.

    Have a good day.

    Hi everyone

Today is errand day ... lots of little things on the list - like getting rid of all cardboard we have sitting around from all the boxes we've unpacked.

Then I have an appointment with the folks at the blind place.  It's taken me a while, but I've decided on what style and color I want in my bedroom.  The living room was decided last week but I figured why make two trips.  So I'm going there late afternoon as it's in the same neighborhood as where I go for prayer meeting.  Save gas by planning trips - that's my philosophy.  LOL

Rebecca is going to the grandparents for the "grandkids night out with Oma and Opa"  So yes, it's a full afternoon of "stuff".

The sun is shining here and it's a beautiful fall day.  I love this kind of weather!

Well, I think my life can be as boring as the rest - at times it's so boring, yet so hectic, I wish for even more boring of a day.  I'd love to sit and read a book and just relax - but oh, wait, I don't have my new chair yet.  LOL   You can bet I'm buying a book the week that chair is ready.  Actually, we have to make arrangements to pick them up - and so we're working to clear the living room of boxes and things so we have room for the new chairs.  Hopefully early next week!

    Have a great day everyone

    Hauke

Quiet day here in DC!!! But everyone is busy and with the holidays looming upon us, we will be even busier....

Hauke, hope you got your errands completed!!!  If the weather is nice, you don't mind the errands and having to go places...

Carol, sorry to hear little Lucas bumped his face!!  I am sure that hurt him alot.. Why is it, whenever they fall, they always hurt their face....

Nancy, I am hoping to sleep later tomorrow morning....I fall asleep early in the evening and then I wake up too early in the morning.. I can't always go back to sleep..

Doris and Marge, waiving and saying hello to you too.. Marge you are always so busy and I am sorry to hear about all the car problems....Doris, I discovered these little turkey breasts at Walmart and make them in the crockpot often....they are so good...........

Joyce, did the carpet cleaners get to your house???  I use my rug shampooer alot, but sometimes I wish I could have the rugs done professionally.....I will if I ever get the chance....

I went to exercise and had a great time... There were other people there, so the time on the treadmill went fast...I stayed and worked out about 45 minutes...Mom has had an upset stomach all day and we think it is from the antibiotic's she is taking....not sure though because it could be a bug....Ron made me the prettiest trivet out of wood...it is really neat.

Don't mean to let anyone out, just tring to catch up, but I do think of all of you and hope you ALL are doing fine.

    Mary

    Evening Group!

Just wanted to pop in for a minute to say Hi! Big Smile Haven't felt good since Sunday night so mainly been coming home & hitting the recliner. Tonight I'm not as tired but feel like I have either a sinus infection or a chest thing starting. Right now it sounds like my throat. We'll see!

Read thru most of the posts this week. Sounds like everyone is busy but doing ok. Glad to hear it. I think of everyone here often & keep you in my prayers!

Well, I'm off of here. Not much energy to be computering (is that a word?) tonight! If I don't get back, hope the rest of your week is wonderful!

    God Bless,

    Susan

Re: DC Conversation - Wednesday, November 4

It is kind of late to be posting as you eastern people are probably in bed by now but did want to let you all know that I am okay and yes as usual busy.

The carpet guy called this morning and said they could install it Monday and Tuesday, he thinks it will take 2 days because it is 83 sq ft with stairs to do and the travel is 100 miles each way. so I called the gal who offered to take the carpet up for the community garden she said they would be down at 3 P m TODAY---gads I haden't expected that so soon so I am hurrying to get all my nik nacks pictures and books packed up and out of the way but was on my last book shelf when they got here.   They had the furnitre all out really quick(thank goodness for the deck) and didn't take that long to take up the carpet.   The carpet guy was going to charge me $250.00 to do it

So everything is set and then I remember that I have a DR appointment at the Dam on Tuesday so sure hope he gets in done Monday as I can't cancel the appointment as it was made 4 months ago so it would be that long before I could get another appointment.   Walt has a meeting that day so he can't be here.  Seems he always has meeting when I need him like today and then I was trying to get "his" dog down stairs and slipped and fell on my left knee so that is hurting like everything.

Tomorrow I have to take the van in again for that All Wheel dDive thing so that will be an all day thing, 3 hours of it driving.

On a good note I did finish the 2 wall hangings binding and am interviewing fabric for a throw size quilt, I had planned to start on that today but all this other stuff came up and now I have plastic tubs of stuff all over my sewing room.     I think while everything is a mess that I will go through my books and donate a lot of the hard backs to the library

.  I have over 500 quilt magazines so think I will donate them (well some of them) to a quilt shop or club.

I won't have a t v until the carpet is down and the room put back together, sure hope Walt can figure out where all those wires go----geeze I am gonna miss Desperate Housewifes!!!

I am really tired so need to go to bed as it will be an early morning for me to get that van over there by 8:00 a m.    So will get back when I can.   Marge

I was pooped just after reading all that Marge did today, gee whiz!!!   Hope tomorrow goes smoothly, we have to travel 4 hrs. to get our car messed with too, definately an All Day Adventure, at least it includes lunch and dinner out. :)

Susan, hope you can get rid of that bug that has ahold of you, but it's that time of year.

It's only after 8:30pm here, but I guess to my body it's still 9:30pm, so I feel like going to bed and reading a little bit, like 10 min. tops, lol.   I don't know how the rest of you guys can sit and read a whole book, I'm lucky to read parts of magazines.   Never enough time to ponder over a book.

It's been awhile since we have heard from Deb, wonder how things are going?

Nancy, thanks for thinking of me, I don't mean to leave people out either, and I do read the posts and keep folks in my prayers and thoughts.

So far, I've lost 23 lbs. on the "DTour" anti-diabetes eating plan, so I like it.   It will be hard to stick tight to it over the holidays, but there is always January, as usual.   Good that you got your exercise in today Mary, it is one of the most important things, even if you don't eat well or not.   This aging is helped a bit by keeping up the exercise, even though I didn't believe that back when I was younger.................lol.

Hauke, the photos of your cousin with the Torch were good, I enjoyed that.   Do you think Facebook will begin to charge soon?   Some friends on there told me there is a petition to try to change their mind or whatever.

Gotta get to bed, took alot of phone calls and we hope to get that danged H1N1 shot tomorrow at our Health Department as soon as we get notes from our doctor saying we have compromised immune system going, and I get one because I'm the sole caregiver.    Feels like school, have to "bring a note", for Pete's sakes!!!
