Berny & jav4u - I still haven't tried Panko crumbs - I need to buy some at the store.....I keep meaning to buy some but always end up just getting regular breadcrumbs, the old stand by, LOL, old habits are hard to break! I have a box of Tempura Batter Mix in my pantry - the brand is Hime & it's a product of Japan. Maybe you have tried that jav4u with your shrimp? It's very good - I haven't used it for shrimp but did tempura veges before, yum! I love hummus and so does my family. Lydia posted a recipe for hummus that I use now - it's delicious, a bit of work putting it in the blender and all, well, I think when I made it the last time, I doubled the recipe so that was a bit more work, but so worth it - a very good recipe! It's expensive to buy in the store so I like making my own.
Shannon - How great that you will be coming home in a few weeks! I remember when you were just talking about this big trip & moving and all & all the anticipation. I think I have the same picture you are talking about of Lydia - was that included in her Xmas card last year? If so, that's the picture I have too.
Twinkle - Hope to see you back posting soon - I miss you!!!!!!!!!!
I hope you all are having a great day. A friend of mine stopped by for a visit and it was nice catching up with her a bit. Our weather is very strange today - I opened up all the windows as it was supposed to go up to 70º and it was nice and warm for awhile while I took my walk earlier, but now it's cloudy and cooler - very unpredictable! Good thing I walked today - I just ate a bunch of Baby Ruth candy bars..........well, the little miniature ones, but I think I ate at least a half a dozen - boy, are they good!
