Ladies, I am so sorry. I made a post. I copied it to send to Lisa since the post wasn't up the last time I had checked and then I got in a hurry and completely forgot about it until I was almost at work. And then we worked 10 hours and I had to stop at the bank to get my new debit card and the gas station to get gas. I still have to do a load of laundry (uniforms) and go to get my BP picked up. GOing with a friend to black angus where I will try to get by with steak and prawns, salad, and steamed veggies. Am trying to cut back on the carbs some. Had way too much candy over Halloween. I just get to feeling so tired all the time when I do that. Feel much better today.
Here is the post that I had down for this morning and then I will add a couple comments at the bottom.
Patti, sorry to hear about your friend passing!
Margie, I did manage to post symphony toffee fudge recipe into the Christmas candy thread. Computer is really slow today unfortunately.
Deb, so sorry that Cinnamon is doing so poorly. Sending prayers and hugs.
Jill, when Daylight Savings Time is going, I am 3 hours behind Eastern Daylight Time. I am only 2 hours behind Eastern Time. It gets confusing.
Tracie, Sheila did post one day that she pitched a fit and has said the food is bad and her room wasn't clean that one day. I haven't seen much other than that.
Sheila, sending hugs and prayers. Hope you aren't getting too sick.
Lisa, glad you have an extra baby to watch this week.
Kathleen, great news from the doctor. I bet you are relieved.
Theresa, have a good day at the Surgi Center
Denise, I haven't actually read any Debbie Macomber books, although I did buy one at Savers to read. Not getting much reading done with all this overtime.
LauraC, glad the pain patches are helping you.
Kim, have fun cleaning.
Florry, I answered your question on yesterdays post at the end of yesterdays post. We are doing "postcards" right now. We did Philemon. We are doing 2 John and then we will be doing 3 John and Jude. Kind of interesting because people don't know much about these and in all my years of church, I don't think I have ever heard a message from any of these.
Shirley, I love Margies crockpot country style cube steak. It is so doggone easy and real good with mashed potatoes and corn!
Patti, I also answered your Synvisc question on the other post and I think I sent you an e-mail. I have loved the other series. They do hurt to get in, but what a difference and they last about a year. This time I am getting it as one injection with three times the medication so he said to be prepared for it to hurt 3 times as much. Am not looking forward to the pain, but the relief is worth it. He is going to have to drain it first. Last night I took an ice pack and a towel to Bible study and iced it the whole time.
I have a new time limit on myself in the morning trying to get out of here on time and I am pushing that limit. I have to run by the bank again. They said if I go to customer service area they can print me out a new debit card right there and I won't have to wait the 10 days to get it in the mail. So I will try that. I also have to get gas and I have to wash a load of uniforms. Might do breakfast for dinner. Yesterday I cheated and got chinese, which I am eating the leftovers of for lunch.
Waving hi to everybody I missed.
Sherry
Jill, we set a record of 96 yesterday. We don't close the pools down here in the winter. We leave the water in them. When it gets cooler, I don't shock it as often....Therefore, it it stays hot too much longer, I might consider checking the temp and seeing if I feel like swimming. I almost did it the other day. Actually, it probably would help my knee. Not sure what the temp is. It is getting down into the low 60's at night though so it may be too cool. We rarely if ever have freezing weather. Should we expect it to get to 32, we just leave the pump running all the time...until it gets above 32j. I guess if it got horribly low, we could drain it and then refil it in the spring. The public pools do drain thers. In fact, the one by our house didn't open at all this year. The city had massive budget cuts and couldn't afford to open them all.
Becky, good for DH that he is getting the second job back since not getting too many hours at the first one.
Kim, I sure do hope they let Joe come home for Christmas.
