    2. I believe government should not increase the financial burden on its citizenry during difficult economic times therefore I will oppose all tax increases until our economy has rebounded.

    Good morning everyone.

Kelly's Mission:  Grab some cleaner and a cloth and go after the fingerprints and smudges on the walls and windows of the dining room.

Pat - Glad you don't have to move again.

Diana - Cute the way you asked Pat if she has nursery accommodations.

Marilyn - You and my DH share a birthday.  We are going out with the in-laws tonight and DD is coming with us, for Dad's BD dinner.  This will be a short visit for DD so at least she will get a chance to see the older generation of relatives.  Wink  Hope your BD was a good one.

Lynn - Where are you?  Hope Lyle is on the mend.

DD's flight got in a little earlier then we expected last night.  She was already down to the baggage area and didn't see me so she called my cell, "where are you."   Never got to bed till after 1:00am.

Had a good time yesterday and got some more shopping done.  Now I need to schedule time to go shopping with the "problem" people and get some hints for their gifts.  My friend just got back from a bed & breakfast weekend in Tennessee!  That's quite a ways to travel for a weekend!  I thought she was crazy but yesterday she told me they were friends of hers that run the B&B.  Just a little info. that she forgot to mention last week.  At least now it's not so crazy that she went.  Confused

Better go.  DD is up now and we have been gabbing.

    Have a wonderful day.

    Dori

    Good morning.

Yes Lyle is out of ICU as of Sat. night. He is so weak that he has to use a walker to walk now. Unreal. He thought maybe he could come home the end of the week which scared me since his wound is so bad. But he had another abcess yesterday and they had to lance it so I don't think he will be coming home till maybe next week. He is also not eating much and the Dr. called me last night and said he is low on his protein so please talk to him about eating. He says the food is gross and he's not hungrey. I listened to him complain and then said if you want to come home you'd better eat your protein. He said he would. I will be with him today so hopefully he will eat.

Thanks so much for asking about him. I really thought I was going to lose him and that was so scary.

Dori enjoy your DD being home. That's great she got to come home for a few day.

Hope everyone has a good day. Got to get ready to go to the hosp.

Hi all. I have been so busy at work that Ive hardly ahd tome to sit down.  We are doing aspecial round of testing that brings us 15 samples a day for 5 days this week and each sample gets 15 tests run on it.  And, I have to prep and wash all those bottles, too. We have been coming in early and staying late just to keep afloat.  My "real" work starst next week when all the samples are here and i have to test for 10 different metals.  Wish me luck!

ROMA- You ARE the Mama Rose!  I am so sorry I missed your special day yesterday but you are always in my heart.

PAT- I would love to come to Texas. Let's start planning this darn thing. I miss y'all! You know what would be fun...renting an RV and driving it all over the country picking up the Roses at thier homes then road tripping to your place.

Timers are going off.  Duty calls.

My goodness...I have labeled, filled and bagged more than 50 sample bottles today.  My hands are tired!

Lynn- Glad Lyle is doing better.  Sounds like he's missing your good home cooking.

Maizey- That is awful about your renter doing that to you.  Do you have a fair housing office in your area?  Maybe they might have an avenue you could take to prosecute or get your items back.

Last night my sister came and went to the grocery store with me.  she doesn't have a Kroger store and we do.  I took all my coupons and mapped out what was on sale.  My total bill before the coupons came off: $109.78  Total bill AFTER coupons: $73.17  I was excited!  We were laughing while standing in line because the register kept going bep, beep, beep like a slot machine.  The cash register clerk said "Man y'all got some great deals today!"

Going to do laundery after work.  Ew  Then tonight I'm watching the Sons of Anarchy that I have DVRd from last night.  Can't wait to see it!

Everyone have a good rest of the day!

Hi Rose Buds.  Gee, it's a quarter to two and there's no one in the joint except me and you!  I've been so busy this morning...Tom left early to get a blood draw and I had a b'jillion phone calls to make. Put all the Halloween stuff away and vacced everything so I thought I'd sit down to rest. Here I am! It's beautiful again today but starting tomorrow we are supposed to get some serious rain and wind. Typical Fall for around here.  I have to go to Portland and I'm not looking forward to driving in the rain but that's one thing I'm sure used to.

Class tonite so I'm going to get ready for that. Hope you all had a good day.  I had a great dinner last night and Tom had the traditional b'day cake with Happy Birthday Snooks on it so all was well. Had halibut for dinner which was yummo and of course a martini! Somebody had to have one, after all.

Lynn, I'm so glad that Lyle is over the hump.  He should be feeling better every day now so his appetit should kick in here pretty soon.  Boy, if it was me, just offer me some peanut butter and dill pickle sandwiches. I'd be so into gobbling those down.  Chocolate milkshakes too....Gosh, I wish I could eat that stuff now!!!

    See you all later!

    Hi Rosies!

Yes, it is a nice day here.  Hayden was here again today.  DH and I took him to lunch (Shari's) and then we went to Big Lots.  The toys I have here he's getting too old for as it's mostly baby toys.  We found him a train set there which is musical and also got him a fire truck w/all the bells and whistles (literally!).  Picked up two outfits for him, one was a 2-piece and the other a 3-piece for just $6 each.

Lynn, I know you were so scared of losing Lyle.  He has been one sick guy.  Can you bring in food to him?

Roma, what did you eat at the Hall Street Grille?  I looked at their menu online.  Yummy!

Pip, I love those kind of shopping trips.

Dori, Happy belated Birthday to your DH!

Where is Pat today?  Along with our other MIAs?

Hugs to all.  Have a great Wednesday!~~~Laura
