I hope everyone is having a great day today.  One more day till the weekend!  Woo Hoo!  Dependign on Pat's schedule it's looking like the ball is rolling for a Rose Reunion in Texas in October of 2010.  Are you in?

    Good morning everyone.

Kelly's Mission:  Grab all those shoes, books and jackets that seem to pile up right by the front door and put them away.

Lynn - So glad Lyle is out of ICU.  Would it be possible to bring some food in from home?  My mom and I both would bring in meals and substitute for hospital lunch/dinner.  You may not be cooking very much but you can get food from a deli, diner, or most restaurants.  Something that will tempt him and start his appetite again.

Amy - Good use of coupons!

Laura - You did well at Big Lots.  Never know what you will find there.  Wink

Roma - Peanutbutter with dill pickle sandwich?   Hummmm  Never tried it but it sounds interesting.

Nephew John came and did yard clean up for us yesterday then spent time visiting with DD.  What a difference!  Even with all the trees gone we got a lot of leaves drifting in from other yards.  We had a lot of wind here about 1 1/2 weeks ago.

Had a nice time last night.  We went out to dinner for DH's birthday.  Just 6 of us.  The senior generation and DD.  At least DD got a chance to visit with family.

Better go start my day.  Rain heading our way and I'd like to get the grocery shopping done before it gets here.

    Have a wonderful day.................Dori

    Good morning Rosies!

There's blue skies here but it's not to last.  Guess a big rain and wind storm is coming in for the weekend.  We'll need to get the wood stocked up for the stove before it hits.  Not much going on today except one afternoon appointment for DS#4.  Might take a trip to the grocery store and get it over with.

Dori, I thought the buys at Big Lots were really good.  The one 3-piece outfit I bought Hayden was originally marked for $42 and I got it for $6.  The firetruck we got is really cute.  Makes all different sounds and even goes forward and backward on it's own.  Hayden doesn't know that yet, and I can't wait to show him next time he comes over.

Hugs to all.  Have a great Thursday!~~~Laura

It is still morning here in California so greetings to all.   Need to eat some breakfast and then head to bed for a short nap.

Tomorrow and Saturday is an all church in Yreka bazaar at the fairgrounds.  There are so many nice things out there.  They serve either a chili meal or a soup meal for $5.  An inexpensive lunch and a good time.

Tonight is my Friday for work.  Next week I intend to head up to the cemetery on Veteran's Day to put flowers on the grave.  Also want to stop at Michael's store and a couple of other places.  We usually stop at Hometown Buffet for lunch.  We get going early to get back by two or 2:30.

Not much else going until the week after that.  Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Laura- Wood for the stove is a never ending job, isn't it?  We just bought a log splitter so that is really going to make a BIG difference for us.

Jane- Are you elbow deep in the Fantasty?

    Good Afternoon Rosies,

Pip, they are working your butt off!! And Yes you did so well with the coupons!! I always cut & use coupons too. I would love to do anoither RR Reunion but don't know that it would be possible for me with Alex & Gianna living with us and me babysitting while Alex is at school & work. But I'm not saying I Can't make it, cuz who knows by next year ~ TX sounds like a great idea tho. I wish we could do like you say and get a van and drive the country picking up Rosies to go to the reunion :) Fun that would be!!

    MaryAnn, enjoy your weekend!!

Dori, Happy belated Birthday to your Sweetheart :)! Sounds like a very nice family get together you all had... So nice to that your DN is helping with your yard work!

We're having a very pretty day here and should through the weekend. At least that is waht the weatherman is saying so far... We're taking Gianna to the Dr. this afternoon for her 6 month check up. She actually 6 months and a week now tho. She does get some shots again today too, poor baby! This child rolls all over the place now. Too funny...

Laura, those were fantastic buys at your Big Lots. We have one here but I have never been. I went to one Years ago and never went back. I probably should!!

Be back later to let you know what our baby weighs and her height...

    Hugs!

Pip, the last couple of years we've been burning a lot of pallet wood.  That stuff gets hot!  But, it's free so can't complain.

I'm going to keep October in mind.  Haven't mentioned it to DH yet.  Not sure if he'd want to go.  I had him go last year as I didn't want to do it alone.  I checked to see if any condos were near and the closest is 4 hours away, south of Austin.  So that's out as a possibility.  My high school reunion is next year.  So far, not much planned.  Sometimes they like to do it in October around Homecoming.  Will need to get details.  I'm hoping they do it in May.

Gianna is 17.5-1/2 lbs and 27" long... Poor baby got 4 shots! One was a flu shot, not the H1N1 just the seasonal influenza. Have to go to the county seat to get the H1N1. I will have to call them and see when. We have a shortage (as I'm sure you all know) so will have to see if there is a specific day or waht. Tomorrow you can go if you are a halthcare / dental worker (saw this in tonights paper.)

    Ti later ~

And do not forget the prisoneers at Gitmo also got theirs.  Not fair.   However, I do not intend to take the H1N1 shot.  Have taken the regular flu shot.  Always take that one.  It started out nice here, but by the time I woke up from my nap at 2:30 it was windy and raining.  Will be doing the same tonight.

    Hi Jeanne & MaryAnn,

I did hear about that today Jeanne, I think I heard that those companies paid to have the vaccine made for their employees?? I could be wrong tho. I catch bits & pieces of the news on the run anymore. I do sit for Glen Beck tho :) And now he is out with appendasitis ~ Or I should say an appendectomy. Our system is just all screwed up! They should have had enough of these vaccines ready, they new it was coming! There is just too much beurocacy (sp), too much red tape! I better stop, I'm not in the OC, so...

Time for me to hit the hay. Goodnight ladies ~~~~ Sweet Dreams ~~~~~
