Mary, that doctor is right about your Mom staying away from the germ mongers, in stores and stuff, lol. I carry wipes in a baggie in my purse and dh and I wipe our hands often while we were out, today especially because we were in several places. But my Mother also misses going shopping and just looking around at stuff, pricing things, even things she can't use in her assisted living place. Is that Shark a vacuum with a bag or do you just "empty" a container on it?? Is it a kind of "Dirt Devil" product??
We bought an e-machine, but Wal Mart didn't have the one we wanted, they would have to order it, and we would have had to make another trip down, so we checked Costco, they only had one type that was over $600, so wound up at Best Buy. Got an e-machine, no monitor, but I don't need one of those. This one was $329 plus tax. Our son will install it next Saturday, Lord willing and the creeks don't rise that it. My other old one was over 12 years old, and it was an e-machine too, I liked it alot.
Marge, that is pitiful how they can't fix that darned car!! One of the pittfalls of living out in the boonies though!! It's like us up here, have to travel to get to anything for good shopping or repairs, etc. Medical stuff too, except for simple things.
I'm glad you got to go to that Seminar, it sure seems that the insurance agencies try to boggle our minds with too many facts and figures, and sound like "flim flam" deals to me.
Lorraine, have fun at the wedding and enjoy the festivities, they only happen once. You can eat better again forever after they are done with!! Truly!!
Nancy, how was the Asian food?
Joyce, when is the next meeting of your friends that had the surgery? Are there many new people in the group? More women than men? I'm curious how many men have the surgery compared to women.
hauke, I too think hauke and Rebecca could make money doing that designing and fixing things up in a house.
Let's have a good weekend folks. Don't forget to get some exercise in, we have early morning English soccer games on tv tomorrow at 7 AM, so will be on the bike often. Need to keep that up, whether I love it or not. I got my "DTour" Cookbook today, full of recipes that are good for diabetics. I think it will be the last cookbook that I will need in my life though. Can't use the other ones anymore, really, they are not "safe", so to speak. And too tempting!!
