I left the Store at 1:15 and went to Susans (and My) office....let me tell you it is exhausting learing so much at this age!! Whoever said you can't teach an old dog new tricks was RIGHT!!!  Oh yea then we cleaned and detailed my SUV...taking it in today to see what we could get for it!!

I had a great night sleep...thankfully..was up at 6:00a.m. first load of laundry in the dryer, second in the washer, cinnamon coffee cake in the oven, Lily is fed, bed is made...hubby is also awake!

Heading out probably by 9:00 to see about a new car....Yippee!!!

Hi - I'm finially checking in for a minute, and yes, this is my busy-busy time - Next week will be even more so.  I am having a baking marathon today  - We are at the privillion so much, that we have goodies there to substain us - and also provide theats for te people decorating their trees.  I have a doz and a half muffins cooling - they are for church in the morning, and 3 loaves of pumpkin bread in the oven as we speak - Had to go to the store first for eggs.  I should have went last night - but didn't.  Thought I'd take a break while things are baking and then I need to finish putting away groceries and wash up some dishes before the stick too bad.

Crazy as this may seem, with next weeks schedule, I'm taking Wed. (we have it off, for Vet's Day) and am going to the Wisc. Dells to their dinner theater for the Christmas show.  I should stay home or be at the privillion, but this is going to be a me day - will see if I regret it. It's about 2 1/2 hours over and back, but it should be an easy day, mostly sitting - I've wanted to see this show for 3 years now, and it seems like if one of us is free, another has something on, on the weekends, come this time of the year, esperially.  With the holiday in the middle of the week, none of us could make to big of plans - I have just kind of lost this holiday with the Fantasy being right in or near it.  This year, I think I can make it work.

Have any of you ever baked the yellor cake in 2 round layers and then you split them and make a filling of coconut and cool whip and sour cream.and I don't remember what else yet, and then you seal it up and put in the frig for 3 days?   I thought this may be a nice dessert for Sat. nights dessert buffet, and I could have it done ahead of time.  I've never had it, but have heard good things and I love coconut.  Actually, I've seen a receipe using a choc.cake mix too.

Well, I probably rested long enough - better keep moving while I still have ambition.

Good morning, Rose Buds!  Jane, sounds like you've really been on the go!  Enjoy your show, it sounds like fun.  I would love the details on that cake. Amounts and stuff. I also love coconut and think that really sounds yummy!

Pat, good grief, slow down girl.   I know you'll enjoy you're "Me" day. Mine are far between so I relish them. I wouldn't have it any other way, tho.

The chicken cordon bleu I made last nite ware really good.  A little over cooked tho. Tom wasn't quite ready to eat when it was done so it had to sit a little too long,

It's nasty out today. Pouring and we had some thunder, not enough to be interesting...just a rumble or two.  It is sure dark tho. Good day for snuggling up with a good book.

Pat, have you talked to Dianae? Gee, I miss her.

Hope you all have a great day!

    Hi Rosies!

It's a very rainy day here.  Heard a big bang of thunder a while ago.  Almost thought Thor was up on the roof with a sledge hammer.

Have a coffeecake in the oven now.  Here's the recipe:

     http://www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/Cinnamon-Coffee-Cake

DH is on his way to CA, DS#4 is home hanging with a friend.  I'm enjoying the quiet.

Jane, did you get the TV business straightened around?  DH brought home a new one the other night---63".  It is HUGE!  Obviously, the word "size" is important to men.  Now, the newscasters seem to be life-size.

Finally over my headache.  Not sure what brought it on, but even moving or any loud noises made it worse.  DH took me out last night for supper (at McMenamin's).  I had a nice cup of tea and that seemed to help.

Want to go out to the store in a bit.  I'm to bring jello for T-giving dinner at DS#1's.  Need to pick up a few packages so I can practice.

Hugs to all.  Have a great Saturday!~~~Laura
