Hi - I'm finially checking in for a minute, and yes, this is my busy-busy time - Next week will be even more so. I am having a baking marathon today - We are at the privillion so much, that we have goodies there to substain us - and also provide theats for te people decorating their trees. I have a doz and a half muffins cooling - they are for church in the morning, and 3 loaves of pumpkin bread in the oven as we speak - Had to go to the store first for eggs. I should have went last night - but didn't. Thought I'd take a break while things are baking and then I need to finish putting away groceries and wash up some dishes before the stick too bad.
Crazy as this may seem, with next weeks schedule, I'm taking Wed. (we have it off, for Vet's Day) and am going to the Wisc. Dells to their dinner theater for the Christmas show. I should stay home or be at the privillion, but this is going to be a me day - will see if I regret it. It's about 2 1/2 hours over and back, but it should be an easy day, mostly sitting - I've wanted to see this show for 3 years now, and it seems like if one of us is free, another has something on, on the weekends, come this time of the year, esperially. With the holiday in the middle of the week, none of us could make to big of plans - I have just kind of lost this holiday with the Fantasy being right in or near it. This year, I think I can make it work.
Have any of you ever baked the yellor cake in 2 round layers and then you split them and make a filling of coconut and cool whip and sour cream.and I don't remember what else yet, and then you seal it up and put in the frig for 3 days? I thought this may be a nice dessert for Sat. nights dessert buffet, and I could have it done ahead of time. I've never had it, but have heard good things and I love coconut. Actually, I've seen a receipe using a choc.cake mix too.
Well, I probably rested long enough - better keep moving while I still have ambition.
