    DEAL OF THE DAY

This thread is to offer you opportunities for bargains and/or deals for services and/or items that, perhaps, you "cannot do without".  With the holidays right around the corner, we all can use the information to save.  Anyone knowing of a DEAL, please post.

I'll start by saving that an on-line help for Black Friday is at blackfriday.com  This site is updated frequently and will be a big help for you to "plan" your holiday shopping at your favorite stores.

Sears is offering Black Friday Deals each Saturday during this month, rather than you having to shop in the crowd packed store on Black Friday (November 27, the day after Thanksgiving).

In the chat thread, it was brought to our attention that Home Depot is offering a deal.  If you bring in your used or broken incandescent Christmas string of lights, you will get $3.00 off when you purchase any energy efficient LED Christmas Lights, now and through November 15, 2009.

    Give Yourself a Permission!

In her new book, Permission Slips, The View cohost Sherri Shepherd gives herself permission slips to do things she enjoys and to let go of the guilt about it. It's such a wonderful idea, we decided to spread her message. Print out a permission slip and go ahead and take that extra-long coffee break, use the TV as a half-hour of babysitting or buy yourself something special. You'll be glad you did.  http://www.womansday.com/permission

    wow...

I signed up on black friday.....Great deals...but of course I have to work.

I have never bought anything online and don't even know how to go about it. Is it really safe to do the credit card thing online? Scares me... I am looking for a good but inexpensive digital camera for oldest DGD...that is what she says she wants so I keep looking for something that is nice and that I can afford!

    blizzards.....I LOVE the pumpkin blizzards!

    Re: DEAL OF THE DAY

    okay...??????? Need some guidance, please...

    on this ad...

    http://www.blackfriday.info/sales/officedepot-black-friday-ad.html

under digital cameras, it says 49.99 at the bottom of the list

when you click on it, it takes you to the description~that I understand but the price is different?

    http://www.officedepot.com/a/products/577044/Vivitar-ViviCam-8024-8-1-Megapixel/;jsessionid=0000I1wNb6oUypUAZspes1Z5Hcm:13ddpq5n2

why would that be? Now you know I don't understand! lol I would have to do this online as won't be able to get there due to having to work...do I have to wait until Friday to order it? How do you know the shipping charges? it would still be cheaper than driving to the nearest one anyway, unless it was outrageous...

now, one last foolish question.....looking at the photo, I don't see the camera? Is there a camera included?!!

    talk about a LinDUH, huh?
