Grannie Neighborhood - Fourth of July

Happy Fourth of July to Everyone

I hope no one else is opening at the same time. It's a beautiful summer day, with a slight breeze. Great day for all those who are celebrating in some special way today. The Fireworks display tonight should be beautiful in a nice clear sky.

Have a wonderful Fourth, celebrate our Freedoms and BE SAFE.

Happy 4th Ruth! I havent spoken to you in a long time. I do occasionally post here but you are long gone by then.

How are you? Will you be going to the fireworks display or do you have a better plan?

God bless you. Missing all of the great Christian Chat friends. they seem to have all disappeared.

    Love, Judy

Hi Judy. Nice to see you. I don't post anywhere on the BB much anymore. I stick with the Grannies and have made some wonderful friends in our Neighborhood. I just scroll by almost every other post, due to all the garbage that is posted anymore. I first came here to enjoy all the fun chats, but they seem to have fallen by the wayside. Now they want to just be argumentative or simply plain silly. I enjoy fun, but I guess I have a different version than so many here. Maybe it's a "generation" gap? LOL.

I think I am going to pretend to be a granny and join you here! Is that ok? I am sure I will be a granny some day.

I miss my grandmothers. both of them are gone now. My fathers mothers birthday wouldve been today.

    I love grannies!

Happy Fourth of July to the Grannies.
Ruth, Please send some of the sun this way. Here it is misty and cool. We got about 1 1/2 inches of rain, which was welcome.
Mamma, I hope your DS is having better weather for camping with Patrick. DS is camping with friends that have kids too. He was taking their tent along so that all the little boys could play in there if it rained. Between the 3 families they have 4 little boys. The oldest just turned 6 the youngest is almmost 3, so they get along quite well. He also took along 2 buckets of sand for them to play in.
Hi Arthurspinky, Stop in again. You don't have to be a granny to live in our neighborhood.
I don't think we will do anything today. I may work on one of the quilts after I sweep the floor. Hope everyone has a Son-ny day.

    HAPPY 4th OF JULY

It is cloudy and rainy here and will be all day. The humidity is really high (bad hair day). We had some fireworks near here last night which DH & I went to. Another show tonight not to far away but may be rained out. Haven't decided if we will go to those or not. We'll wait and see if we feel like it and the weather.

My balloon flowers are just starting to open. I love these flowers.

My nephew's wife, who was expecting a baby today....had it yesterday morning the 3rd of July. Mother & daughter are doing great. Everyone was so excited for them yesterday while we were moving my parents to the condo. The new "grandparents" couldn't wait to finish the move so they could get to the hospital to see the new bundle of joy.

DH & I went out for breakfast this morning....something we rarely do. It was nice. No plans for today....maybe some laundry that has been piling up but probably nothing else.

    Have a great day everyone....

Good morning and Happy Fourth of July!

Bright blue skies, 70º and just a slight breeze. Hope the humidity goes down so I can open up the house today.

Fran, I hope the rain let up for DS too. A tent just for the kids sounds like a good idea!!!!!!

Cjayh, those flowers are so pretty! Breakfast out is my favorite!!!

    Have a wonderful day all

Happy Fourth to all. I see we had a visitor already this morn. Welcome arthurspinky. Do come again.
Lily looks like you were first up this morn. I am probably last. Stayed up till 12:30 last night and watched "Picnic". Hadn't seen that for a long time.
DH got up and shaved so guess that means he is going to church. I had best get in gear and get myself ready to go.
Cjayh what lovely flowers. You take marvelous pictures.

Gram I could hear the fireworks last night but to see them I would have had to walk to crest of hill and I doubt I could do that. It's uphill both ways. Hee Hee.

Jan, have a quiet, relaxing day.
Mamma, I hope your nice weather gets here soon.
Cjayh, After seeing the picture of you balloon flowers I took a picture of what I thought were balloon flowers. I know yours are but I wonder if mine are. DH found them growing in the weeds. They come in blue and white. There are several blooms on a long stem. Do you know if that is what they are or----are they something else. I'm not sure how they got there unless DS threw them there when they cleaned out the flower bed.
Anyone else have suggestions or comments of what they could be. Tame or wild????

Hi Marty, I didn't see you sneak in.
Good to here that your DH is feeling better. Isn't it surprising how many hills are uphill both ways these days. LOL

Hi Gram...what pretty flowers. I don't think they are balloon flowers unless there are different varities. The foilage (folage?) doesn't look the same and the flowers are slightly different. But I'm no expert on flowers....I go by what is on the tag when I buy themLOL....so it very well could be. Maybe someone else could offer something?

Hi Mamma, Marty, Fahy, Lily & Arthurspinky......have a good day.
