    ISO appetizer or dip

Hi there, next week at school we celebrate teacher appreciation. The third grade Moms have to bring an appetizer or dip to serve. We have to drop it off in the a.m and then the teachers will munch on and off. Ok, now here is my question what can I make that will be ok to sit out for an extended period of time and not get dry, warm and just plain gross? I am totally lost. Any ideas would be great. Thanks, K Ohio

    BACON TOMATO DIP

    3 Roma tomatoes chopped
1 pound bacon cooked crisp and crumbled
    3/4 cup miracle whip
    1/3 cup sour cream

Mix ingredients just before serving. I serve with Fritos scoops. Or you can use tostitos.

Fruit and veggies cut up. Cheeses, a variety of them and ones that taste good warm. Or send a dip in a container on a bowel of ice. That will keep it chilled for a time.

I like buying a round bread loaf, cutting out the center and making the Hidden Valley Ranch Spinach dip (recipe on the dip mix). It's basically, the dry ranch dip, mix w/ 8 oz thawed frozen spinach (water squeezed out) and a container of sour cream (i don't add the other stuff the ingredients calls for). Put in the bread bowl w/ crackers for dipping. YUM!
