    RE: Glass Bucket Recipes

You guys are toooooo, tooooo, much. This is another "crawlin' cake episode!!

I just ordered my bucket from the country store. Decided it would cost as much in gas to scoot around trying to find one at Target or Wal-Mart. Guess it was a matter of taking the easy way out. I liked the style of that bucket too - don't know if the stores had the same style!!!

I love all the recipes that everyone has come up with - roast beef salad, now that looks like a winner - however, desserts are my forte! (Check out my waistline!)

Sorry, I don't have a recipe to add, but keep them coming!

    Way to go, SoOma!
I got mine there too but it hasn't arrived yet. I know now that it was way over priced. Oh well! Win some and loose some, right?
This thread gave me an idea to use my bucket for our daughter's graduation party. There are endless things you can do with that bucket, "me thinks!!!"

Just so that you all know how much ingredients to use while you're designing all these glass bucket recipes, I just took ours out to the kitchen and filled it with water with a measuring cup. It holds 16 cups = 2 quarts = 1/2 gallon comfortably. It will hold 18 cups if you want to fill it to the brim however.

Kyana44. So you mix the pudding with milk or just sprinkle it dry over mixture of fruit and cake. This sounds very good and I would like to make it this weekend.

“Holy Cow” Chocolate Punch Bowl Cake

1 box chocolate cake mix + items needed to make
2 containers of regular size cool whip
    1 bar cream cheese
14 oz can of sweetened condensed milk
1 jar caramel ice cream topping
    1 bag health bar topping

Mix cake and bake according to directions. Mix sweetened condensed milk & caramel together – let sit. Mix cool whip & cream cheese (you can also add ¼ cup powdered sugar to this mixture to sweeten it).

Cut cake into small squares. Place 1/3 of cake in bottom of large bowl or punch bowl. Sprinkle with heath bar topping. Pour over 1/3 of caramel mixture. Spread on 1/3 of the cream cheese mixture. Repeat using remaining ingredients, topping it all off with more health bar topping. Cover and refrigerate for 24 hours for best results.

    Chocolate Éclair Punch Bowl Cake

1 yellow cake mix + items needed to make
    1 container cool whip
2 large boxes of instant vanilla pudding
    1 chocolate cake frosting

Bake cake according to directions. Make vanilla pudding according to directions, but decrease the milk by ½. Mix in ½ to ¾ container of cool whip.

Cut cake into small pieces and place 1/3 in bottom of large bowl or punch bowl. Spread 1/3 of vanilla pudding mixture on top of cake. Repeat with remaining cake & pudding. Heat chocolate icing in microwave (but do not cook), pour over final pudding mixture. Cover and refrigerate for 24 hours.

This would be great in the bucket everyone is talking about. I don't have one yet but the more I hear about it the more I want one too. Another thing you could serve in the bucket is Punch.

    Pina Calada Salad

    2 c cold milk
1 can frozen pina colada mix
    1/2 c pineapple juice
1 small pkg instant vanilla pudding
1 small pkg instant coconut cream pudding
1 (20 oz) can crushed pineapple, drained, reserve juice
    2 c coconut
    1 (8 oz) cool whip
    maraschino cherries, optional garnish

Combine milk, pina colada mix & pineapple juice. Add puddings; beat 5 min. Fold in pineapple, coconut, and cool whip.

Pour into dish or mold; chill several hours.

    Garnish with maraschino cherries.

You may have to double this recipe to fill up the bucket.

    Lemon Trifle
    1 can (14 oz)sweetened condensed milk
    1 carton (8oz) lemon yogurt
    1/3 c lemon juice
    2 tsp grated lemon peel
    2 C whipped topping
1 angel food cake (10 inches), cut into 1" cubes
    2 C fresh raspberries
    1/2 C flaked coconut, toasted
    Fresh mint, optional
In a bowl, combine the first 4 ingredients. Fold in whipped topping. Place half of the cake cubes in a trifle bowl. Top with half of the lemon mixture. Repeat layers. Top with raspberries. Garnish w/ coconut and mint.
Any fresh fruit would work. Blueberries on top of the 1st layer and red berries on top for the 4th!!!
