I got my LAST issue and will not be renewing. It's not a matter of them putting ads in but a matter of grabbing an old copy and my new last issue to go read and realizing that the latest issue had less pages and a quarter of them are advertising. I repeat.....I realize the need for advertisments in the magazines but the CONTENT of the magazine has suffered to an extreme. The recipes that ARE there are still good but there is so much LESS than previously.

You can print more advertising as far as I'm concerned to keep the magazine going but PLEASE don't take away from the content and number of pages with GOOD reading.

Less pages than previously and 1/4 of them advertising?

Less content is the key to my decision to wait and see what kind of magazine I would be paying for before ever thinking of paying in advance for another year (or two) of issues. By the time my next subscription could be up it might be half the magazine full of ads.

I miss the days of "no ads", but I think that's unrealistic right now. So many magazines are closing their doors. I don't mind a few ads (or more ads) if it means my favorite magazine will stay around to publish more issues. Taste of Home and its sister publications are so inexpensive. I usually renew my subscription for about $10.

Re: What is up with the increasing addition of ads?

yes it's called "the ecomony".....with so many magazines closing their "doors" they must take advertizing....plain and simple....

What is up with the increasing addition of ads?

Have you noticed that with each month more ads keep popping up? It's time for me to renew. I am reconsidering. Does anyone know what is up with that?
