I am more fortunate than many diabetics, in that I can get by with eating a lot of things that some diabetics can't. I know many can't eat cereal for breakfast, but I can. I always eat some protein too, and have V8 juice for breakfast, and my blood sugar is always under control. I am type 2 and just take Metformin twice a day. I snack on apples, crackers with peanut butter or cheese, different types of cheese, raw veggies,or boiled egg usually.I make a point to always have a snack in my purse if I go with friends shopping or whatever.

I was fortunate too in that I lost weight easily, and really didn't need to lose at all. I lost 30 pounds over a period of 4 or 5 months without really working at it much. Now I'd like to put on about 5 or 10 back, and that is hard, since the things that put on the weight are not especially good for diabetic diets. Make up your mind to lose though and you will do it.

Re: Diabetic

Hi,
