It has been a while since I have been on the forums, and I was looking for a "search" feature. I would like to search the forums to see if anyone had any tips or hints or recipes or whatever for caramel apples. Am I overlooking how to do this? Or do we not have a search option?

After baking the flan, the syrup sticks to the bottom of the pan. How do I get it to come out with the flan when I turn it over??

Broccoli & Cheese soup

I am looking for an old recipe for broccoli and cheese soup that was in the "Men on the Range" section. I belive it was in the April/May 2005 issue and if not it was in a late 90's issue. It is the best broccoli and cheese soup, so if anyone has this recipe I would love to have it again as my copy got lost in a move. Thanks!

I posted this same question on 10-31-09, but I made a mistake with the year of the magazine. In the Cooking for 2 WINTER 2009 magazine, on pg.63, there is a recipe for Coconut Pound Cake. It is also featured on the cover. It calls for an 8 in.fluted tube pan and I would like to know what size loaf pan I could use, if possibie.

sugar cookie mix seems dry

I have tried a few recipes that start with the sugar cookie mix in a pouch. They always seem to make a crumbly mess for me and not at all like what from scratch dough looks like. Am I missing some secret to this convenience stuff? Any hints?

In the WINTER 2000 Cooking for 2 magazine, on page 63. The coconut pound cake (pictured on the cover) calls for an 8-in. flutted tube pan. I would like to know what size laof pan I could use, if possible.

Microwave Popcorn

Everytime I do microwave popcorn, I never seem to get all the kernals in the bag to pop. Is there some trick to get all of them to pop? I always ende up with a bunch not popped, even though I use a 1000 watt oven! Can anyone help with ideas?

Freeze spaghetti sauce?

I found my mother's old restaurant spaghetti sauce recipe but it makes a large quantity. Does spaghetti sauce freeze well? I am guessing I could add ground beef before freezing, but how about cooked green peppers or canned mushrooms? Do they freeze OK in the sauce? Thanks for any advice!

As long as the Chevy ad was at the top of the page all you got was a blank page. When it was gone I could get on but then if I changed pages like KC to Recipes it would go blank again. Get rid of Chevy ads they really mess up the loading of pages.

World Wide Country Tours

I was going through some old Taste of Home magazines looking for something new to make for dinner and saw an advertisement for World Wide Country Tours and a trip to Panama. I had never heard of this tour group so I went on line and got some information on them. They have some great trips and they seem like a reputable group, but never having heard of them and being a nervous Nelly, I'm a little hesitant to book a tour. Has anyone here used them or do you know of someone who has?

Ingredient substitution for Mushrooms

WEF over on KC mentioned that a banner on top that reads "Congratulations! You have won our hourly prize click the "OK" Button to claim it before time runs out" is a virus.
Is it a virus? The reason I'm asking is because it pops up now and then here.

Hersey can cake

I have a subscription to taste of Home and to the holiday mag ,but if I go to look at a recipe it says I must be a subscriber.This is really annoying I think it is the mags way to get more subscriptions.
