I'm ready to give up.

I've tried melting together the 12 oz of chips and 2 Tbsp shortening over a low heat (like the recipe says). They refuse to melt. I've tried the same thing in the microwave. Nothing. I've tried using higher heat and putting them in a double boiler. The stubborn things refuse to give up. All I get in each case is a semi-hard mass of glop. Anyone have any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Or should I just ignore recipes calling for melted white chips?

I remember that it had "Praline or Pecan" in the name of the torte. Some of the ingredients in it are: chocolate cream-filled cookies and butter for the crust, pecans, 2- 8 ounce packs of cream cheese & brown sugar for one of the layers, brown sugar, butter & vanilla for the caramel layer and semi-sweet chocolate chips & heavy cream for the ganache as the topping for the torte. The results were an amazingly moist, tender and golden brown turkey. This is a priceless Thanksgiving turkey recipe that is simple and does not put any constraints on your time. In fact this Thanksgiving turkey recipe will allow you to go about your daily/nightly routine worry-free, while it is slow roasting in the oven the old-fashioned way.

Please find the recipe @ http://commonsensereports.com

And other unknown Deep South recipes @ http://hubpages.com/hub/comebacksauce

Thanks and let me know what you think,

Oldschoozchef

pulling my hair out trying to find this brownie recipe!!!

hey all. im trying to find a recipe for a white brownie. its called a blondie. it has walnuts in it also has a maple taste to it. there is also a hot maple and walnut sauce to go over it. if anyone has this recipe or something like it please help. thanks. loves, hugs and gummybears

Brussel Sprouts recipe

About15 years ago I had this great recipe I used at Thanksgiving. It had Brussel sprouts, Cauliflower, corn & other vegetables in a white sauce.
