Electric can openers are not easy to clean., that is why I don't have one.

The "Swing-Away" hand held ones are still made and are very good. Easy to rinse or wash after each use.

Then there are the hand held ones that take the lid off in a way you can put it back on ansd they do not leave an edge to cut yourself on.

Hand held ones take up very little room in a kitchen drawer and don't clutter up the counter.

Of course this is just my personal opinion and and what I prefer.

Anyone...anyone???? Going shopping today and hoping to find a "decent" one at least. Using a hand held one now and don't like it.
