I am also looking for a new Coffee Maker. I use to have a Bunn a long time ago and loved it, but I just don't know if I want to put that much money in to another Coffee Maker.

I was looking at a Bunn with the stainless still carafe at Kohl's the other day and thought about getting that one but it was $139.00 and I decided not to for right now.

I will keep watching and if it goes on sale, I just might get that one because in my opinion a Bunn is the best.

i had bunns for years, and recently replaced it with the cuisinart grind and brew.

i really like mine. you don't have to use the bean grinder part. it's in the top of the machine. you can use regular ground coffee, too. there's a separate basket for the filter and coffee.

you can also grab a quick cup out of the carafe while it's still brewing.

it's programmable, and i have fresh coffee ready when i get up in the morning.

If you don't object to getting something for practically free (you have to pay $10 for their coffee, a one-time purchase), you can get an automatic drip coffeemaker, 12 cup, from Gevalia which will cost you nothing - just buy 2 - 1/2 lb. pkgs. of coffee. If you want to continue receiving their coffee, it's up to you. You are not obligated to buy any more coffee, which is excellent, and the coffeemaker is yours to keep. You can GOOGLE Gevalia and read all about their offers.

I have had a Braun drip coffee maker for about 2 1/2 years now. It got very good reviews from Consumer Reports when we purchased it. It was about $75, but I feel it was worth it.

Had a Bunn years ago, but lost it in the divorce war. I didn't drink coffee back then (1992). I would highly recommend the KitchenAid Javastudio 14 cupper. I had been through a succession of cheap ones that leaked on the counter, etc. Got this one in February, paid $100. My husband had a fit because the same model only in black was on sale at Kohls for $50, we looked all over until we could find a white one and got it at Dillards. Dillards didn't care that the black one was on sale at Kohls for $50! Anyway, it works great. I love the way it shuts off after 2 hours, and of course you can program it to start at a certain time if you want. Good luck.

Gosh my Bunn is 5 years old and I haven't had single problem with it. I do know that when it does die, I'll get the Bunn with the Stainless Carafe. I also learned along time ago not to buy dual duty appliances because one half always needs replacing before the other and then you're stuck with an expensive appliance that only does half of it's intended job and have to go out and buy another appliance.

I had a grind and brew a few years back. Not sure if they have changed much, but I hated mine. You would add beans to the top and they would grind then shoot down to the basket. When the coffee brewed it would steam everything so you would have to take apart and clean the whole aparatise every time. You would also have to dry every nook and cranny so that the coffee would not get stuck. If you have company and need another pot, it would take you at least 15 minutes just to wash and thoroughly dry. IMO if you are looking at a grind and brew, pull it apart and see what would need washing.

I need to get another coffee maker myself. The one I have now leaks every now and then. Its one of those that you push your cup under and it fills it up. It also drips so I have a little glass underneath - what a mess.

JMO but I had a Cuisinart Grind and Brew and did not care for it . I did not find it near as well made as I expected from Cuisinart ( I usually like their products) but was disappointed in this one.

Several malfunctions but it was about four years ago and I do not remember all the details except that I promptly returned it and am very happy with my SS Commercial Bunn Coffeemaker .

Replacing Coffee Maker - Help

My Bunn needs replacing - it's only 2 years old, and my 3 Bunn - I have always liked my Bunn's but this one leaks and doesn't get the coffee or should I say water hot enough now. I am thinking of getting another Bunn but am also considering the Cuisinart Grind & Brew. Looking for anyone who has had one of those and how you like it. Do you always have to use beans or can you use preground coffee in it also? If you were buying one-which one would you buy?

I fornd a sale on the Cuisinart for $69.97, which I though was much cheaper than I had seen them before, although I really hadn't been shopping for one before either .

Thanks for sharing your ideas.
