I had my ears pierced at the mall when I was in elementary school.

The last couple of years in high school I took it upon myself to pierce my left ear 5 more times. I used to wear rings in every hole in my ears but nowadays just stick to the very top one and occasionally the two originals.

Guess I don't require as much attention as I used to huh...LOL

3 in ears here!

I have always wanted to do my nose...and have a very very small diamond. BUT not with my work or dh. LOL I dont mind the piercings on people as long as its not over done and all i see is rings! I have know lots who have their body parts pierced...if its what makes them feel better about themselfs,so be it.
I know when I got my tatoo...i felt great about doing it! Never regreted it. Want more one more piercing and one more tatoo before my life is over!

Its art! LOL

I have 3 small studs in my left ear lobe (all non-cartilage) -a ruby, a diamond and a sapphire and 1 small stud in my right lobe - a blue topaz (my birthstone)(I also trade this one out for a turquoise stone my Cherokee relatives gave me). They are the same starter studs used to pierce them 25 years ago and I rarely ever take them out these days.

I also have 2 small hoops in my right eyebrow and 1 in my left, a nose stud, a lip ring (hoop), navel and couple other alternative places.

When I did graphics, window painting and digital art for a living, I could dress and accessorize however I wished for the "office" that day. That meant I could keep my vividly coloured and wildly cut hair visible, bare my tattoos and leave my piercings in.

I work with food now (exposition style kitchen, so guests can see and talk to me while I cook their food) and the only piercings I'm allowed to wear at work, due to dress/uniform codes, are in my ears and any that are "hidden" under clothing. (We also have to cover up any visible tattoos and other body modifications and all hair must be under hats - especially if it's unnaturally coloured - like mine - fire engine red on the top layers and black underneath it all ).

If someone wants to judge me by my piercings and such, whatever, it's your loss ;)

I learned a very long time ago to put my initial reactions to a person aside. It doesn't mean I don't think it. It just means...I try very hard not to "judge a book by it's cover". By doing so, I have gained so much in my life that I might have never known. I personally, can not simply look at someone and judge them. I wish it was that simple for me.

I guess I 'm just old but I have pierced ea (only one in each) and I do wear earrings all the time. Anything past ears just grosses me out. Sorry, but I can't even stand to look at someone with pierced eyebrows, noses, lips, and tongues. I don't really care what anyone pierces on their bodies, just don't ask me to look at it. Some person might be the sweetest, angelic or whatever but present a bunch of body piercings and my opinion changes in a heartbeat. I feel pretty much the same about tattoes and I can't understand why anyone would want to permanently mark his/her body. Whatever anyone wants to do is up to them but just don't ask for approval from me - not that it would matter to anyone!

My sentiments exactly.

AP & Grelo...my best friend, Marilyn, has never had her ears pierced either. I'm not sure why except for the fact that she did indeed watch another friend freeze my ear lobes with an ice cube and pierce them along with one other girlfriend when we were junior in HS. Maybe the blood & moaning traumatized her enough to decide she'd never pierce anything! LOL

Oh with the Janet Jackson piercing, in order to follow the exact rules...you must then expose your breast at a Super Bowl, via a zillion people and then cry....'wardrobe malfunction'!!

Renee, let's put this way, I don't even wear rings on my fingers and very seldom wear a small necklace when I am invited for a holiday dinner and it is a "command performance" with casual dress-up. Like a pair of dark blue wool slacks, a white silk blouse and a royal blue cashmere pullover. On such occasions I may wear a pin at my throat. or, if wearing a nice sweter, a small necklace.

Never cared for earrings, not even clip-ons, never really felt the need to "decorate" myself.

I have both my ears pierced. I had my upper ear pierced for a while,but I let it grow back. My best friend had her tongue pierced. She's swallowed the tongue ring few times. I dont care what other people do,but its not for me.

I dated a guy who had his nipple pierced. That was interesting.

I have my nose & navel done.I used to have my tongue done also but I kept hitting my teeth with it so I took it out.I also have my ears pierced 7 times on one ear & 5 on the other but usually just wear earrings in the first.

I would love to have a belly button piercing, but I am way to fat for that!!! LOL!!! I had wanted to get my breasts pierced but that is to painful. I got my ears done today, two holes on each side. My sister had the problem with her tongue ring hitting her teeth, so she took it out, but I have not had any problems with it.

Over my dead body. Like AKProf, not even ears. I do not care for the "Mutilated" look at all. To me, people who have this done to their body have a big roblem. IT is nothing but trying to get attention or for shock value.

Nobody could possibly like ther own looks when they have pieces of metal sticking out of their face and other unmentionably places. Looks like a car wreck gone wrong.

I have my ears pierced...3 on one side, 2 on the other. I wear very small diamonds in the top holes so they aren't very noticeable.

Working in a professional environment, piercings don't go over very well (at least at the company where I work). We have a lot of young people who are pierced and have multiple tattoos, but they aren't in the management ranks.

One hole in one ear and two in the other. Doc pierced them when I was going into high school -- one higher than the other so I had to have it evened out -- it was very noticeable.

A guy I used to work with went to school in New York to learn to do piercing. When he came back, he worked two jobs -- the other job was in a "Body Jewelry" Store. He loved to come and tell me stories about the piercings he had done because it would make me squirm. The worst one was a man, going thru a divorce, had 6, yes S I X piercings in his genital area. The guy I worked with explained each one in detail. Still gives me the hee-bee-gee-bee's.

This guy is doing very well -- owns two of his own stores.
