With Brad Pitt playing Quentin. After all he has already played a Vampire.

I think people have been fascinated with vampires for centuries. There is some talk of Johnny Depp playing Barnabus Collins in a movie of Dark Shadows, but I don't think it is a definite thing yet.

Re: Vampires circa 1970?

It may have increased the level of fascination but I don't think it created it.

Quentin was my favorite character. And Angelique (Lara Parker) was fun to watch. The show was running on Sci-Fi network for a while but they're not showing it anymore.

Re: Vampires circa 1970?

It was on well before 1970. Mid-60's?

I watched it with the neighborhood kids. We thought it was cheezy, with bad acting & really cheap special effects.

Re: Vampires circa 1970?

My Dearest Sister was/is a huge Dark Shadows & Barnabus fan! I remember the opening of the program and the water washing ashore.

It was on just about the time I got home. I wonder if this program started the facination, since Dracula really didn't make the vampire appear very romantic. What do you think?
