If I'm preparing a lot of corn, I still boil the corn for just a few minutes, then drain and remove ears to the casserole dish with butter - or the crock pot.

The microwave method makes it really quick and easy to serve when the corn mood strikes - and it really tastes fresh!

Happy 4th!

I always do my corn this way. It's great for just DH and me. I usually cut off som of the silk that's sticking out at the end of the ear.

I use my microwave to cook fresh corn on the cob. Simply place one to five ears with husks intact in a casserole dish and cover it. (No water is needed if you leave the husks on.) Cook them for 3-4 minutes per ear, depending on the wattage of your microwave. After cooking, rinse the cobs with warm water and the corn silk falls off easily as the husks are removed. Corn is so delicious this way that I wouldn’t cook it using any other method.
-Flora Metz, Jackson, Tennessee.
RE: Rec: Fresh Corn on the Cob (Microwave)

Aha...dont be silly Jill...this is a GREAT tip and I cant wait to try it out!!!
