I use the canned cherries for cobbler and crisp. Yummy. I have seen frozen pitted cherries that I was thinking of trying out for a pie.

Our dinner tonight will be grilled salmon (DH's new favorite), ranch beans, corn, and applesauce.

I made a peach pie for my brother from some peaches he gave me, which he loved, but I thought it was way too runny. Haven't had that problem before -- I use cornstarch as a thickener. Any suggestions/recommendations?

The furniture changes continue -- we're getting a sofa (with recliners at the ends) from a friend who is getting a new one -- her boys will deliver it today or tomorrow. Now that I've made a decision on carpet for the living room, I need to actually get it installed, so that we can move some of the furniture, including the piano, into there. Also having a recumbent bike delivered sometime this week (in hopes of getting more exercise in spite of foot problems) so we'll have to make room for that too. Just about the time I get everything in place, I'll have to start thinking about where to put the Christmas trees!

Have a wonderful Wednesday.

Re: Wednesday: What's Cookin' (Aug. 20, 08)(6:50 a.m.)

Good Morning.

CK, do you use frozen cherries for your pie? That is one pie I have never made, but would love to. Fresh cherries would be a pain to pit.
