Here's an easy, fun idea from FamilyFun magazine. Serve tall glasses of this bubbly beverage complete with patriotic colored ice cubes...and watch the special effects! As the ice cubes melt, colored bubbles will swirl through the soda.

FROSTY FIREWORKS AKA PATRIOT'S PUNCH

Red and/or blue fruit-flavored beverage (Powerade, Gatorade, or Kool-Aid)

Seltzer (flavored or plain), OR a clear soda like Sprite, Seven-Up

Clear 8-10 oz. glasses

Fill ice cube tray or trays with a red or blue beverage and le the cubes freeze solid.

Then drop three or four into each glass (alternate red and blue if using both colors), pour in the seltzer water or clear soda and watch what happens. Eventually the colors will turn purple. Family Fun says kids go crazy for this.
