And then whoopsy??

But I'm back

Must have been all those sheep!!

Well Char -- the post flew over your head -- can't imagine

What a shame no one showed for Tuesday coffee -- what happened? i would have loved some of that chicken chili. Sounds real good to me.

Hi noudder -- as this is our 25th anniversary, we decided to do something and the cruise was it -- just did not coincide exactly with the date -- same month though.

I have to do some baking for the bake table tomorrow but as I will be leaving soon to go meet David, I'll have to do it later when I get home -- not doing too much. Hopefully everyone does some -- don't mean only the ladies of the group -- I mean all ladies of the church. It can be their contribution -- I know lots of the women do. Usually the bake <strike>table</strike> tables are over loaded. But that's good. In this case the leftovers have to marked down because otherwise what do we do with them??

Hoping everyone is enjoying their Tuesday

Aleida

Hi Marilyn. What fun you are having with the grandkids. We had a bit of rain this afternoon -- wish I could send it your way since you need it. A great downpour but only for a wee bit - - already starting to dry up . Please oh please no rain tomorrow for all the Canada Day celebrations.

Thanks Eija for the glittery pic.

Hi Char -- lack of sleep -- are you grumpy??

A brief hello to you Viola -- don't know if strawberry season is over here -- rain can do them in -- know that if these rains were not so persistent that there would be lots more strawberries for the pickers.

Char -- picking strawberries after a snow fall sounds really interesting.

Gee Pat if you read a week's worth of posts, you'll be going to bed awfully late -- that's usually a lot of reading.

Cute gramma -- the story about the chicks. I'll be thinking of you tonight with your new TV. What will be the first show you watch on it.

rams -- come one Maria -- male sheep -- sheesh -- how many do you need -- Is Andre tired of mowing the lawn. haha

I think I will post this as something has happened -- I did it -- but I may lose it all if I don't and then I will continue in a new post or edit.

Aleida

I'm just getting ready to do a 24 hour shift. Later this week I have another long one. Will need to check out the July 1 activities in town. We didn't get our local paper yet.

A very young lady came and looked at the house, don't think she was interested.I can always tell whether they are or not and she is NOT.

Meesh I can feel the excitement in your typing, I know how happy you are.

We haven't decided yet where to move to or what area we should look at.

Anica, the weather has been very weird today one minute dark and the next sunny it has been doing that all day long.

Cathy, you do take it easy and look after yourself, I know this late in the pregancy one is always tired.

Awwww Marilyn what a little sweetie smiles and gigles for gramma. Connor, would be grinning from ear to ear if they won the trophy

Hi Eija, going camping again this weekend? Is DH working the day shift?

Char, don't think I will move to BC although I wouldn't mind, but would be too far from my grandkids.

Hi Vi, how are you and how is work? Are you getting lots of hours?

Pat, nice to see you back, I was worried that I wouldn't be able to start the CC this morning but I did make it.

I want to say how much I appreciate this little corner, I can always come and ask for advice, there is always someone who has the answers.

I would talking to people from different parts of the country and the US.

Hope you have a wonderful evening together.

Char, if you didn't read my post yesterday about the cattle drive, do. It's always good to know what could happen while camping. LOL

Pat! You're back. That's a relief. I thought maybe you were stranded out in the potato field.

Have you heard the story about the guy who lost his job as a stock boy in a grocery store because he wasn't bright enough to get it done? He decided to become a chicken farmer and ordered 150 Rhode Island Red chicks. They were guaranteed to be healthy so he figured he couldn't lose. Within a few days after they arrived, he called the feed and seed store to complain that every last one of them died.

Since they were guaranteed, the store manager shipped him another 150 chicks, and within just a few days, the same thing happened, and they all died! Of course, the man called the feed and seed store again in a panic because all 150 chicks died.

Once again, the manager shipped him another 150 chicks, and once again, they promptly died.

The manager asked the would-be chicken farmer exactly what he did from the time the chicks arrived. The guy said "I really don't know. Maybe I planted them too deep."

Char, pass that along to Cookie; she'll get a big kick out of it!

I got a lot accomplished this morning. I think. And yesterday I frittered away a little of the proceeds of the garage sale and bought myself a teeny-tiny 18" TV for the bedroom. It's so cute that I can hardly wait until evening so I can sit on my chaise in the bedroom and watch it. Maybe it's true that it's the little things that please us?

Eija, I love your cute glittery things every day. I even love the ones that don't glitter

Maria, hope your house showing went well. Once the place is sold, you can move either to Kentucky where you'll be able to raid Marilyn's garden whenever you like, or you can move to Georgia where I promise I'll let you clean house for me whenever the mood strikes you. Andre should come, too, of course.

Did I miss anybody? Didn't mean to. Oh! Goodness. Vi! I'll be glad when you win the lottery and can post from your own computer all day every day.

Just think Cathy! This time next month, we'll all be new mommies again. Loved Anica's story about being stuck in the cupboard. With my first, I was so huge that it was almost a problem to get through a door, so I wouldn't have dared try squeezing into a kitchen cupboard.

Meesh, don't get so excited over ACW being gone that you do an over-zealous happy dance in the parking lot and break a leg. Moderation. That's the key.

Are the strawberries over already? They were barely ripe a week ago! I was going to get more this weekend. DRAT! One quart of fresh local strawberries is just NOT enough for a season.

Has anyone heard of this hybrid of our strawberries? They're crossed with some other kind, so that they will fruit well into the summer. I wonder if they're anywhere near as tasty and sweet....

Okay, as usual, I'm on very limited time here, and much to do. I picked up another shift at the store this evening until closing so any shopping I mjight intend to do will need to be done this afternoon.

Congrats on the anniversary, Aleida!

Happy Birthday to anyone that I missed along the way, and I hope everyone has a happy and SAFE holiday, both sides of the border!

Lots Maple Leaf regards!

ViolaB
