Hello and THANK YOU!!

I have felt so alone on some other forums ! ( Joan thank for being there) My husband actually hated all veggies. He, like alot of my generation (I'm 46) grew up with canned veggies or frozen that were cooked till they had no identity! We all called it .. come on now.."hospital food"! Its OK to laugh...

Yesterday my husband tried his first sample of his favorite soup pureed. For those of you who know, this will be the first couple weeks of his diet. He lovd it!! One hurdle jumped praise God!

ONWARD!! And we can do it!

Julie...I have plenty of space and lots of good sunshine but am unable to attend to a garden. I'd love to share my space with someone who'd tend the garden. I love fresh stuff.

Here in Texas, many of the smaller gardens are already turning brown. This heat is oppressive!

Hi, Julie, that's an excellent idea. I happen to have plenty of land myself and enjoy tending to the garden, but I do share the produce with my grown DD and our very dear friends in their 80's.

I live in Utah and there are many community gardens around here.

Julie, I live in the Columbia Gorge area. Where do you live ?

We have a small garden . We used to have a large one but with just the two of us, we find we don't need all that anymore. There are people here who do community gardens. In fact, one of the churches has one by their parking lot.

Healthy Choices July 3rd

Hello!

I wondered if any of you are doing a "share a garden" with anyone? Myself and a nurse pal of mine are doing just that. She has the room and I have the desire, so we have a HUGE veggie garden going strong. My husband loves veggies and he likes veggie soup. Being that his surgery will make soup a huge food group for him soon, this is a true blessing.

Here in the Pacific Northwest we are around 85-90 degrees going into the Independance day weekend. Very unusual for us. We normaly have rain on this weekend. So I am preparing to grill!!
