Hubby made the yummiest breakfast burritos ...now we are both off to have a massage....then home to switch cars and get Lily....we are picking up a pre-lit 9ft. Christmas Tree...I hope it's a decent one.....I won't complain though...it's FREE!!!

Morning Ladies.

I have 2 words for you which should describe my sadness and hurt - "my mother" Uff da!

Looks like Thanksgiving will either be spent with Taffy, grilling chicken and pulling out the Christmas movies or going to my Pastor's house for dinner. Hmmmmmm. Both sound appealing. I haven't decided which yet. I'm suppose to call Pastor's wife next week and let her know. They are strongly encouraging me to join them. She's an excellent cook so I know it'll be a meal I'd enjoy and I know I can relax with their family.

Rained here all day yesterday. Suppose to somewhat clear up later today and be mild tomorrow. No tracking snow for the hunter's here.

I'm off this weekend - my niece has 2 hockey games Saturday - one in the morning and one in the afternoon. I'd really like to go but don't want to run into my parents. I'm thinking of shutting off the phone for the weekend too. Uff da, it's a story in itself but I think if I mention NSDD is involved you'll all get the jist of my troubles without devulging too much here.

Kelly's Mission: Grab a hot soapy rag and wash the dirty spots off the door facings, switch plates and door knobs in the bathroom.

5 Min. Rescue for the Laundry Room - Set a timer for 5 mins. and toss the trash and put things away. No Laundry room? Choose another room.

Diana - Thanks for the heads up. I have to go to Wal-Mart this week anyhow so I'll bring the hand set with me.

Laura - Hope everything goes well for you today. Hayden is so cute.

Jane is coming over to do my hair this morning so I'm on the run again. Hope to get back later.

Morning!

I have been up since 2:00...I finally got out of bed at 3:00 so hubby could get some sleep! I can not believe I am STILL coughing as bad as I am!! I feel fine...just coughing!!

We didn't do much this weekend...I really tried to just relax and rest as much as I could!

Christy and I did go to my Church Holiday Bazaar...picked up a couple of more presents.

Yesterday hubby and I ran to Sams for some much needed items.....then home for the rest of the day...we didn't even go to Church..I get embarassed with all my coughing..I am afraid people think I have the Swine Flu.

Today I am off to the store, going to try and get my nails done then head into the office. I took some chicken out of the freezer last night...so I am going to toss that in the crockpot and make a pot of chicken soup....haven't made it in the crockpot in a long time!

Ok going to try and lay on the couch and get some sleep for an hour!

Gooood morning...DH & I woke up early...couldn't sleep...then we heard the neighbor's dog across the street barking..sounded like an owl...lol....dunno what was going on but we saw them outside with a flashlight! Probably go back to bed here in a few! DH and I have been married 1 1/2 yrs. today.

Good Morning,

I am so disappointed I am up...was out of bed before 3:00...now I am just waiting for my Cough syrup with codiene to kick in so I can crawl back into bed. I reall thought with all the meds I am on that I would have had a great night sleep...but this stupid cough woke me up!!

Christie and I are suppose to go to a Holiday Bazaar at my Church this morning at 10:00....hopefully I will feel up to going!

We are suppose to have a cold front moving in over the weekend making next week cold and rainy...we shall see!

I need to start making my Thanksgiving menu...plus the menu for the days our friends will be here over T'Day! I think we will go to Sams tomorrow after Church and start stocking up on things!

One would think with all these channels I would find something decent to watch on TV...NOT!

Good Morning Rosies

Happy Veterans Day to all our men & women who are serving and have served!!!

I am dealing with a stupid cough..have had it about 5 days now...I had the same thing exactly a year ago, so it makes me think it is something in the air...last night it kept us up....I did find some cough meds that the doctor gave me last year..so I started taking those last night....they don;t seem to be working though!

I have been so busy, working both jobs.....but I do enjoy working with Susan...today I have to meet her at the office at 11:30...we are taking out a gal from a Title Company...Susan wants me to neet everyone and know who they are!

Laura I have a big pot of pinto beans sitting on my counter...I will turn the crockpot on at 8:00...mine will cook probaly 9-10 hours....I hope that is ok!!

Mint, I am sorry to hear your SIL is in the Hospital, and your hubby is having some tests...keeping you all in my prayers!

We are still sunny and in the 70's here..

Good Monday Morning!!!

The COWBOYS BEAT the pants off of the EAGLES!!!! WooHoo!!!!!!! Unfortunately I was sleeping and didn'see the end of the game...but it doesn't matter we WON!!!!

The weather is still in the high 70's and sunny...I am heading to the Store this morning then I will call Susan to see if she is in her office...if so I will head there for a few hours..if not I have some shopping to do for her! Either way I am busy today and all week!!!

Too funny about the jello..my grandmother always brought the green jello with vegys in it...YUCK...and we always had to have some on our plates....my mom still makes it but now I won't eat it!!

I did get my hair colored yesterday...hoping to fit in a haircut sometime this week.

I have my womens group meeting tonight...Christy will drive over with me....which is nice since it is so dark out at 6:30 now!!

Good Morning Ladies - - Home from church, made an egg Mcmuffin for my breakfast, and had a banana - now, maybe no or late lunch.

Tango, that's the cake I'm talking about - Have you made it? I'm going to do it - for sure , I''ve deceided. I know there are some coconut lovers that go to this event, as one gal always makes what she calls White Christmas Pie, and it's a coconut pie that everyone just loves - - She won't be there this year, so maybe this will work for the coconut lovers.

Went out for a burger with a friend late yesterday afternoon, or early dinner. I haven't been to this place since my birthday, and I just love it - especially the burgers. Their speciality is over a lb of burger, but no way would I try that one. DId one, years ago, just to say I'd had one, but I toke much of it home. Fon;t know what they do, but sure is good.

I'm trying a new coffee today - Maxwell House was on sale yesterday when I was getting groceries, and I needed to open a new one today, so tryed it - Got the South Pacfic blend. I like it.

Not much new for me, just getting ready for the week ahead. Have a good one.

Good Morning Rosies,

I have been so busy working with Susan.....didn't get home till almost 7:00 on Thursday night and last night I was home by 5:30...I was exhausted last night...left the house at 7:45 a.m work at the store, run to WalMart to pick up some things for a luncheon we had at the Store for 2 of my favorite coworkers...it was both of their last day! I left the Store at 1:15 and went to Susans (and My) office....let me tell you it is exhausting learing so much at this age!! Whoever said you can't teach an old dog new tricks was RIGHT!!! Oh yea then we cleaned and detailed my SUV...taking it in today to see what we could get for it!!

I had a great night sleep...thankfully..was up at 6:00a.m. first load of laundry in the dryer, second in the washer, cinnamon coffee cake in the oven, Lily is fed, bed is made...hubby is also awake!

Heading out probably by 9:00 to see about a new car....Yippee!!!

Hubby is heading down to Dallas/Ft.Worth for Nascar tomorrow...next door neighbor is taking him!! I will have a DAY to myself...looking forward to that!!!!

Kelly's Mission: Let's go after the ceilings, light fixtures and window sills in the Dining Room and Entrance Way. Use a feather duster or dust rag to get the window sills, light fixtures, dust in the corners and ceiling fan if you have one.

Laura - Our Big Lots usually looks like a junk yard. You can see where the new stock is being put out and that area will look fine. I don't think they have enough help. But it's well worth the trip when you find what you are looking for or a "can't pass it up at that price" item. I know Hayden is going to love the firetruck.

Maryann - Enjoy the bazaar. Sounds like a fun day.

Thanks Diana. We did have a nice time. At this point I would have to pay for a lawn service and as long as John is willing to come and do it for us, I'll pay him. A little extra cash never hurts. Don't you just hate seeing the babies get shots.

Got down to 36 overnight and it's still chilly out. Sunny and blue sky and should continue through the weekend.

Gotta run errands today and I want to get an early start. As in get out of here before DD wakes up. Yesterday I was set to go to the grocery store and she wanted to go shopping with me. Well that's how I spent the afternoon.

Yet another busy day here in the lab.The boss went to some kind of planning meeting all day so that makes me even busier. I'll be gladd when this is over. I have tax class tongiht, too. Another long day. One more week of classes, then pre season training starts on the 14th.

I hope everyone is having a great day today. One more day till the weekend! Woo Hoo! Dependign on Pat's schedule it's looking like the ball is rolling for a Rose Reunion in Texas in October of 2010. Are you in?

This is all still in the design and planning stage, so many details are up in the air. I don't know a time frame, and I don't know how much hotels are, or anything about car rentals- YET. I imagine it would be similar to Branson, a long weekend kind of thing, with some folks staying longer. In Branson, We all went for breakfast buffet one morning, and we ate dinner out at a nice restaurant one night, and we spent one afternoon at a winery and shopping. And we had a very impromptu surprise birthday party that was awesome fun.

Pat has graciously offered to open her home to a few folks, so obviously it owuld have to work around her schedule. She even suggested going to a RODEO- Yee Haw!

McKinney has a lot of hotels, restaurants and attractions. It's approx. 30 miles from Dallas so air travel shouldn't be much of an issue. There are several golf course, from what I found online and even a little community type theatre.

Also not -so-very-far away is Austin, which has The River Walk and Dallas/Ft. Worth.

ALL of the roses are welcome to attend, bring your hubs or leave him home to bach it. It is not the intent to leave anyone out of the loop or to make it more conveninet for others. Branson was picked last time bacase its darn near smack in the middle of the country, and Laura had a vacation condo located there. I suggested TX a while ago because Pat and Diana live there and it's got good airport access, and other than being way south, it's also nearly the midpoint of the US (almost)

I won't post details in a public forum, other than dates. It would all either be sent by private e mail or through snail mail.

Morning all - still burzy here. Our Trick or treaters endured wind, cold and snow showers. Poor things. I didn't have any but was able to watch them across the street. I wasn't really expecting any but was hoping my nieces would pop in. No luck. Sigh.....

When I went home yesterday morning, it was nasty - roads were just starting to get a bit slushy in spots and the roadside was white. It was mostly gone when I got up tho.

Taffy got her meds for her ears. She's such a good girl. She loves going to the vet no matter what is done. He gave her 2 kinds of drops, a oral antibiotic and another med for yeast. They also tirmmed her nails for me for free. God bless them - I'm real fortunate to have such a good vet's office. They are so nice and love Taffy as much as I. They got a kick out of her "howl" Friday night.

I'll be thinking of you as you gain an extra hour of sleep for ya all but longer shift and 1 hour less sleep for me. Enjoy!

Morning! Happy Halloween!

Uff da - another night..... I'm tired and of course tonite I'll work an extra hour because of daylight savings. Think of me as all of you are enjoying an extra hour of snooze time.

Poor Taffy - she visit's the vet this morning. Her ears again. Poor baby. It was 2 weeks ago last night I lost Darla kitty so am wigging out a tad. Last night Taffy woke me up with a howl sound - mind you she was sleeping. Scared me to death let me tell you. I woke her up for piece of mind.

Uff da but the wind is blowing here - really made for hard driving last night and from what I can tell, It's not looking any better. Snow showers this morning.

Can someone PM me a addy for Tango's Blog??

Well, gotta go - Halloween is starting rather early here.
