    Easy Black Forest Cake

    1 chocolate cake mix
    1 large tub Cool Whip
    1 can cherry pie filling

Make cake according to package directions. (The only thing I do different is to replace the oil with additional water. You can't tell the difference, and it helps cut the calories.) Cool cake. You can either make it in two 8 in round pans and remove them from the pans or just make a 9 x 13 cake and leave it in the pan. If you make the rounds, you may need more Cool Whip. Frost the cake with Cool Whip. Then top with cherry pie filling up to within about an inch of the edge of the cake. You can add a drop or two of red food coloring to the pie filling before using if desired. Refrigerate.
You can also make some other yummy and easy combinations (like French Vanilla cake and blueberry, strawberry, peach, or cherry pie filling).

    4. Pour half of the batter into prepared pan.Spoon the macaroon filling in a ring on top of the batter, making sure it does not touch the sides of the pan.Spoon the remaining batter over the filling, smoothing it out with the rubber spatula.Place the pan in the oven.
5.Bake the cake until it springs back when lightly pressed with your finger and is just starting to pull away from the sides of the pan,53 to 57 minutes.Remove the pan from the oven and place it on a wire rack to cool for 20 minutes.Run a long, sharp knife around the edge of the cake and invert it onto a rack to cool.
    6. For the glaze, place the powder sugar in a small bowl and whisk in enough milk to make a spoonable mixture.Whisk in the almond extract.
7.Place the cake on a serving platter and spoon glaze over it.Let rest 10 minutes before cutting.

The lemon sheet cake should be baked for 18-20 minutes. Sorry, I didn't even realize there was a typo in that one. Good grief.

    Sherry

P.S. Sure, these are all calorie free
(yeah, right!) Now to post the rest of them.
