Wine Cake:
1 pkg yellow cake mix
1 small pkg vanilla instant pudding
3/4 cup vegetable oil
1 tsp nutmeg
4 eggs
3/4 cup California Cream Sherry
(NOTE: it must be California Cream Sherry --- NOT regular sherry)
Combine all, beat 3 minutes on medium speed. Pour batter into greased bundt pan. Bake 350 for 45 min or until toothpick tester comes out clean. Cool in pan 5 minutes before turning out on rack to cool. Sprinkle lightly with powder sugar.
(I do not recall where I got this recipe. Have had it for years. It is very tasty and better if it sits for 2 or 3 hours and flavors blend)
I give this to neighbors at Christmas as it is simple, tasty, and no frosting.
