Star fruit is a kind of fruit. It's usually a golden color, about 4" long. The way it's shaped, when you slice it cross-wise, the slices look like stars, so they're especially pretty in salads and on fruit plates. Most grocery stores around here carry star fruit. If you don't see it, ask the produce manager.
