    Nacho Casserole

I don't know if this has been posted before, it is my sister's recipe, where she got it from, I have no idea.

    Nacho Casserole.

    1lb. ground beef
    14 oz. kidney beans
    1 chopped onion
    1 cup salsa
    1 cup crushed nacho chips
    1 cup tomato sauce
    1-1/2 cup grated cheese

Mix all ingredients together. Spread into casserole dish. Bake at 350º for 45 minutes. Remove from oven and layer with topping ingredients.

    Topping:
    1 cup sour cream
    1 cup tomatoes
    1 cup grated cheese
    1 cup crushed nachos
    1/2 cup chopped green lettuce

Layer casserole with a layer of sour cream, then grated cheese, lettuce, then tomatoes and then crushed nachos.

This goes over very well at potlucks and can look very pretty and colourful if you take a bit of time on the topping.

Char, this sounds yummy! I'm saving it and will let you know when I try it... probably at our next church potluck. Thanks for sharing.

Well, there's only one new dog, thank goodness, LOL! Trixie is a golden retriever puppy and she's precious - but I'm happy we aren't training 2 new puppies right now!

I'm guessing that the ground beef is browned first....???

Yes,the recipe should say cooked ground beef. It might work uncooked but things would change.
